How do you lead these? I've only been able to lead gathering ones They are not in the game yet! Another feature we are hoping to add in the future. Currently, you can land on beaches and islands and Gather Supplies.

Ummm... in light of your sales pitch which offers to unlock everything, for yet ANOTHER 5 bucks beyond the purchase price, under the guise that it is strictly optional because everything can already be unlocked through 'skillful play', I find it to be out of order that there are unlocks tied to actions that may not even be present in the game... to whit: unlocking Military Sloop as a starting ship requires completion of Master Explorer. Not exactly an honest representation of the actual current state of the game's implementation. Wanna fix that for my money spent, hey?

@rayce - hi, and thanks for the post! On-land Exploratory missions would not be unlocked by the Unlock All IAP, they are simply a game feature that has not yet been implemented. Unlock All code releases all of the awards that you can achieve by skillful play to win the Unlocks, such as Master Explorer and others.
EDIT: it does seem like there is some confusion. The post asked about "Exploratory Expeditions" which I assumed meant over-land expeditions, which are no in the game. If you are looking to unlock Master Explorer, you need to visit the Islands and Beaches. That is enough to unlock the award and there is no need of the over-land expeditions I was responding about.

And while we're in the midst of this one particular instance of misleading info, how 'bout a comprehensive change log making clear what is and is not IN the current game? There are way too many things alluded to that still go nowhere and the project as a whole is decidedly short on meaningful and necessary documentation. Concept: 4.5 Execution: 2

@rayce - thanks for the feedback, you can check the updates board for update posts. I just made an edit to my post above, which should hopefully clear up the confusion about Unlock All. Here is a link to the updates thread: startradersrpg.proboards.com/board/22/updates-aop

As to your reply... (we're leap-frogging here...):
My point is that Master Explorer and thus the Military Sloop cannot be unlocked at all except by purchase, despite the claim that 'skillful play' will do so. You have tied an unlock to gameplay that isn't yet possible... hence purchase is the only means at this point.

Ah... that does delineate a difference that had indeed become rather muddled. And thanx fer the link too... will check it right away; running into many a frustrating confusion the deeper I get into my career.

@rayce - no problem, and if you have any other questions please just let us know. Looking back on this thread (2 months old) I think it looks like I spun the original poster down the same spiral of confusion. He was most likely asking about how to get Master Explorer and I responded with a completely different answer That's what I get for typing too fast!

Finished w the thread on updates... while informative in general, it still doesn't collate any summary of what is or is not currently functional; I envision a list of all features in two columns... on the left, newest at top, is everything that has been implemented... on the right, populated by designer intent, wishlist n suggestion feedback, and anything from the left column that had to be disabled for further attention, is a list of all those features yet pending, oldest at top. This would make clear those elements in the game existing in a preparatory state only, that cannot yet be pursued. (such as my spending 3 fruitless hours trying to find which shoreline landing sites would actually permit me to gather/explore; extra costly in that I cannot restore to a previous save to recover the wasted period in my career...) Such a tracking list would fit well as Appendix-I of the help guide methinks...
I did incidentally discover from the update thread, the rest of the forum tree under Age of Pirates... which does not show from here within Age of Pirates RPG. I hope the additional material will prove useful...
Lastly, I am having a bevy of issues since installing Elite (yup... the demo actually worked better); is there someplace I can report this collectively, rather than trying to place each item in different threads by content? I suspect their causes are interrelated, if not singular.

Aaaaaaaand... got myself signed-up as well; figured even if AoP isn't far enough along yet to pass my muster, some prior games have possibly reached a sufficient level of polish that they'll do what they're spozeda. Perhaps I can shelf the one fer awhile until performance repairs catch up to the aesthetic enhancements that have been poured into it... and look meanwhile into, perhaps, Cyber Knights... (I'm a big fan all the way back through ShadowRun and CyberPunk-2020 right into Gibson's original genre-defining works)
I'll surely see ya 'round...

(I'm a big fan all the way back through ShadowRun and CyberPunk-2020 right into Gibson's original genre-defining works) I'll surely see ya 'round... Welcome to the madhouse!! All games (except Star Traders) are pretty much works in progress with upcoming features and updates in the works-- CyberKnights just got controllable Hunds (basically, mutant dogs) with the future capability of having a specific Hundmaster class. That being said, there's nothing quite as exciting as seeing a long-awaited feature get in and running to your local app store to spam the hell out of the update button to get it. The resident master of Cyber Knights is missing at the moment (as in I haven't seen her--- grävling, where art thou!?), but there's plenty of documentation on the faction ladder rewards (if the faction has them yet), Net maps and combat strategies in the CK forum. And if you want to work the streets as a Face CyberKnight (work it!), I can give you all sorts of tips. Stay cool chummer, and I'll see you in the NBZ.
