How can we create the "Dream Ships"? Who cares about balance? I am sure an Alien ship will kill us regardless and we still cannot catch up to a Hive ship. The water/fuel shortage will still cause issue because we tend to forget to fuel up.
I have the Omega class and I was hoping to build something bigger given my 2 millions in money. I can get no more than 80 crew or cargo, 28 guns, 36 hulls, 25 armor, and 36 sails or engines.
However I can see a lot use from the current SD when I start a new captain. Early in the game you need to get the biggest bang for the buck.

You can buy better ships than that. You probably won't get all the stats that high but there are Fast/Quick ships that will work better than this "Ship Designer Max" class!!!! Another option will be allowing players to modify an existing design. |

Not sure what you are talking about. You have to unlock all the rewards but take a look at this ship.... What Unlock are we talking about? Other than starting new or pay$$; can these be achieved in existing characters? |

Yes. No cost but faster with the iap.

I paid the $$ price to get the full unlocks. Some of the "contractor" challenge cannot be achieved by me the "Commuter Player" who likes to reject contracts because of locations and factions.
One issue: all new creations are named "New Class". I tried selecting the textbox that says New Class but I cannot change the name. I hate to call everything New Class, so is there a way I can change the name for better record keeping.

On my Samsung Galaxy S4 on Android 4.4.2, I managed to enter that textbox once. I can see the cursor but I cannot see the keyboard on the screen. And I cannot even get back in to the field after. |

No - I play portrait. No - none of those. Regular Android keyboard. The ROM is whatever comes with the phone. As to "fallen" question: I never have any problem typing the captain names for New Games. As soon as I select "new game", the cursor will be at the "captain's name" textbox. That textbox never looses focus. You can select whatever dropdowns you want and you can see the flashing cursor there when you scroll back to view. The keyboard will be opened and stay open the whole time even if I select the other settings in the captain creation. That by itself is annoying in some way as I really need to scroll to see what else are there further down. |
