Yes, go south out of brunehorn, east out of crags peak, south out of Sea Road. Awesome gear there. Also the chests in Sea Road have some great loot.

I killed Vlotgar. Was I supposed to? If I didn't kill him, then what would have happened?
By the way, another nail-biter fight. I just cannot imagine doing these fights at higher level...

Also, Hagathrun: I let him live. Should I have?

I was hell bent on getting Kyera's Banishment up high, and then I am trying to level Ethereal Anguish a bit so I can get a double 2 AP curse going with Vincent. I find this is easier for me to play, as I can curse everything the first round.

Did I miss out on XP or phat lewtz? AFAIK the story choices are meant more a challenge to thought more than over all gameplay results. Vurnak's hammer may be an exception, a few others I'm not aware of/have forgotten are possible too. Generally speaking, until the legendaries most loot will be replaced within a half episode of content give or take at most.

achilles73 I would not agonize over the choices you make in the game. They do have consequences (some of which we don't know because the story has yet to be completed) but there is definitely no right or wrong. Also, it is kinda fun to play through the multiple storylines that arise from the choices. I personally like the storyline of letting Vlotgar live, but I did not discover it till my 3rd playthrough. Don't want to ruin anything but there are more choices in your future but all choices are pretty balanced gearwise and experiencewise. Don't make a decision based on whether you think you will get better loot or exp, just make it and ride the wave it takes you on.

Ok, that's reassuring Still, I really need a weapon upgrade at level 25, and I have had trouble finding light blades better than Night Blade (only 23-30 damage) in either shops or loot. So I am getting totally reliant on crits on both Kincaid and Selen. Someone said Tulwar and other awesome weapons are availble in Ember Lake, but I have no idea how to get there

Also, when and how do you get your legendaries? And is each character limited to one? I tried to search for them on the forum, but no cigar

achilles73Choose a base camp/side Koda or Braeys to get to Ember lake. The first image in this thread by the excellent lurker/contributor maps it out... Follow the path of choice. Don't forget the underforge and the secret doors listed for each region... Yes, only one legendary for each char, a bit of story goes for each, you're not there yet -they are to help prepare your party for the end game content. Follow the maps and advice from the nmi players for details, I'm still trying to memorize maps atm.

I am so frustrated, as I need weapons. I am currently in the Underforge. Easy fights at first level. Will I eventually get the reanimators here? Shudder... Thanks for the secret doors reference. I missed that the map actually listed them.

Underforge apparently has level-locked mobs? I am in there at 25, and the mobs are 23. Do I lose XP if I fight under-leveled mobs? And if no, then I guess this is how to make the game easy mode?

but all choices are pretty balanced gearwise and experience-wise. Don't make a decision based on whether you think you will get better loot or exp, just make it and ride the wave it takes you on. This is the case with many of the choices -- some kind of balance is struck in what rewards you get and when you get them. One notable exception that comes to mind are the Heartbeats of Summer.
