Still, I really need a weapon upgrade at level 25, and I have had trouble finding light blades better than Night Blade (only 23-30 damage) in either shops or loot. So I am getting totally reliant on crits on both Kincaid and Selen. Someone said Tulwar and other awesome weapons are availble in Ember Lake, but I have no idea how to get there Those Ember Shops are only available in Episode 3.

but all choices are pretty balanced gearwise and experience-wise. Don't make a decision based on whether you think you will get better loot or exp, just make it and ride the wave it takes you on. This is the case with many of the choices -- some kind of balance is struck in what rewards you get and when you get them. One notable exception that comes to mind are the Heartbeats of Summer. I noticed that item. Is that a legendary? And if it requires certain quest choices, someone please let me know how!!!

I've been running around in vain then

fallen I personally feel that the heartbeats of summer (not a character specfic legendary, just a really amazing item) is a pretty balanced choice. The stuff you get for not choosing them is really awesome too. The legendaries are episode 4 (Vincent is late episode 3). As long as you explore each area fully you will not miss them. There are no quest choices that block access to any of the legendaries that we have (Vincent, Vraes, Kincaid, Fyona) currently. Also, Kjartan and Kyera get their legendaries in the next update (I believe).

And are more episodes planned? Finally, tell me how to get Hearbeats, please? I've been searching the forum a bit, but no clue

matrim - that's true, there is a very competitive reward if you don't take it.

achilles73 - there are two more story updates scheduled, both to complete Episode 4. No more Episodes are planned. The content development for the next story update is finished, and we are just working through the testing. Should be sometime early next year. All characters will get a legendary, but they get them in their own time based on the story.

So you will force me to play again and again I'd probably have to run the game at least 4 times to experience the possible combinations I want to try (assuming I want to try 2 versions of each character).

fallen The first battle in the ironwood ridge actually triggers immediately upon entering the map. If you go in unbuffed or lose stealth, it is a slap to the face. Well, then don't do any of these. Always be buffed, especcially when entering a new map, and raise your stealth via skill, talent and gear. I win practically every stealth roll on nightmare, so it's clearly doable on lower difficulties.

Finally, tell me how to get Hearbeats, please? I've been searching the forum a bit, but no clue You'll get them during episode 3 on a mission that starts in Granthorn. Also, if you don't take the Heartbeats you will get some phenomenal loot and access to a shop with some really good stuff. IMHO the Heartbeats are the worse choice here.

The issue is not that the battle is not beatable but rather that entering battle directly from a town map is unique in the game. There is no reason that a player would expect this based on prior game mechanics. Thus, it is a low surprise that will risks death for a player on the first time through for no reason. May be if Kincaid had a warning dialogue to be ready for anything while in town near the exit. Like in Oskahold. The fact that a single misstep in town could put the party in battle seems to be a flaw and not an intended game challenge.

I am an SP drain whore, so I cannot imagine getting anything better! Too bad I cannot save the game and see the alternatives

But it is possible to lose a stealth roll regrdless of your stat, as far as I can tell. And if that happens, a non-tank character has a good chance of dying. Hence, regardless of what precautions you take, you have a chance to insta-die before you can even move. This is not a good game design.

I can fix.
