m.imgur.com/AtjbKUxThis was the result of my first playthrough on easy, the Xeno horde had just started but I was just producing massive ships to fight them and holding them off pretty easily still, there was a point where I had to switch to building tons of tiny ships to hold them at bay while I built the cruisers and carriers it the turn limit one turn after I built my carrier oh well! This playthrough on easy was, well easy, I think the difficulty was well balanced for this level, next comes normal!

Easy should be pretty easy and the Xeno fairly slow and passive. ... they do get fairly aggro sometimes. The AI is a big part of my work this week, beyond just fixing the issues and rough edges you kind folks point out. That is the understatement of the year

Ugh! One of my colonies started at 2/1 population, and it's up to 5/2 right now can't keep up! Lol

That is one of the worst things. It takes 10 turns to build a Hab, then you have 3-5 pop by the time it is done. Those are usually the biggest drains on my economy

Hammered second game out much faster, just fended off a world killer and only let it take out one of my colonies, armies of strike fighters are not well equipped for that, still haven't managed to use any of the big ships I just barely built, this time I focused on keeping my economy balanced a little but the aforementioned population growth issue made that tough right away, finally got ahead with hab unit IIs in play

Various times I've had money just sitting there. Maybe a limit to how much with the total CP of other colonies, say those colonies send CP aid to the one in need but it costs money because it has to travel instead of it being on world.

newest suggestion/observations after playing for a while on Crazy now. 1. To be honest I actually feel like I am able to research better and build faster on the harder difficulties, maybe its just me being a better player? The only real difference I have noticed between difficulties is that the aliens do consistently more damage and take a little more too. 2. I think there should be a way to expand your faction space, (the green tiles) a little bit, something like a space station (DS9 style maybe) that can defend itself lightly but would ideally need an escort ship of some kind for protection, kind of like a mobile refueling station even would be nice, since you burn W/F so fast. Just and idea? or maybe the ability to purchase a defense satellite grid that would expand it 1 tile in every direction? Definitely later in the tech tree but could be useful, especially if introducing merchant ships later game. 3. Really looking forward to phase 2! Feeling confident in getting a solid economy started and a research base going so REALLY excited to see the rest of the tech tree and updated details on upgrades soon too! And getting rid of that pesky turn limit

I like the green tiles expanding. I think it might be best to bind it with population growth, since this number means the colonization of planets in that solar system. More planets means more control over the space which might mean a growth of green tiles.

Green tile expansion will be a result of tech & upgrade building!

Think I need to get a T shirt printed: I used to have a life then I discovered TB games. 4X is seriously addictive.
