Dunno nails, I have 13 AP and sometimes I start with 9, it seems to occur pretty randomly too and can persist a few turns, then magically I have 13 again. Cory, can we do something with ammo in general? I have about 1000 pieces in my inventory, and my fingers wear out adding them to my loader. Can we get some kind of auto-sorter/stacker function and have the reload action reload a set number of bullets? (20 for pistols 4 for heavy for example) I think exhaustion plays into your problem. If you are already tired, you don't get to start with the full AP left Mine is more that I the screen says I have 4AP AP left to use, bu I am not able to actually use them agree about the ammo. Even if the small 5 rounders would just compress into 20 round boxes would be a big help.

Equipment sorting and stacking is on the list of RFEs. We will get there sometime in the ... future.

nails, I don't know. I have max 11 AP, which I always start a battle with, but sometimes I start a new round with 9 or 10 AP. Maybe it based on the last attack you made (melee or ranged) and recalculated with a new stat? I also always see that if I have an odd number of rounds in my pistol, I can only make 1 shot in an attack, but 2 shots if I have an even number. Is it a barrels thing? Side question: Where is a good place to upgrade my computer in game. You know, one that has more storage space and more jobs. don't know where to go.

jeffway, I've had the exact same thing happen as well in combat. I am on the computer right now (easier typing) and was about to talk about it.
Is it even/odd on the ammo count? I hadn't made the connection, but I have the same issue (sometimes one shot sometimes two)
You can go to the thrift store for a new computer, but all it upgrades is the memory I believe. I can't find the other store that I found once-upon-a-time, but there was one that had several computers. It's MIA for me at the moment, unless someone has managed to locate it.

The guys at Back Bay Importers had some nice new models last time I checked. New computers can increase your number of max jobs at a given time (more secure storage) and will increase your hacker powers as that system comes more online.

Using a different weapon was causing different AP to be generated. Starting tonight the "best AP available" will be used, based on the 2 weapons the character currently has.
some of the cyberware adds a random factor.

I take that back. Looking at my notes I think there are good long term reasons to do what it is doing today. Your AP can vary based on which weapon the character has shouldered / "on guard"

Two things... Will there (is there already?) an items list that has the locations marked down? I've spent some time running around looking for guns and literally writing down stats on the guns and the locations in full detail, but I can't live long enough to venture into the harder zones of the game yet to check those out And my next question is about the speed of a gun, the normal gun that you start with as a gunslinger, the amount of times I can shoot it at a person used to be 2 shots, and now it will literally change between 2 and 3 shots with the gun (ares lightfire). I'm not sure if my characters stats have anything to do with it or not, since the guns at a speed of 2 so it makes sense to be...2 shots. If it is relevent, 9 into firearms, and 7 dexterity. P.S. wrong section on this, but I have a bug with the quest to find the Yakuza gambling den (ithink) inside of the Back Bay slums and have gone door to door to not avail.

moof That's not a bug mate, the official main story line is incomplete at present, unless I'm mistaken on the bug you've found. Just had a thought is there any chance that we could get weapon fire modes? Let me better explain. I'm in the middle of something atm so have to be quick. Say you have a fully automatic weapon, being able to select burst fire (3 shots in one). Single shot etc.. But decrease the accuracy, each of the modes would have a different AP cost, but more effective than just single shooting like we currently do. Obviously if you will the with 1st round on burst fire, the other two rounds would be wasted.

Oddly enough I come from a gaming X-com background. Loved the 1st more than any of the others. For once my brain deserted me on what rate of fire selection was.

I don't know if a firing mode would really make a difference. You already have the option to aim more steadily for 1 AP, and none of the weapons have a burst fire in the same manner as what you are relating to. Not to mention the combat ends the moment the target dies, so you stop shooting. Granted, it would be neat to be able to spray bullets all targets within range if you have an automatic weapon, but that sounds like a good feature for the Trese boys to add to the Elite edition!

I do partly agree with you Hate. But then that would make many of the weapons that carry Auto rounds, nothing more than oversized pistols. In regards to the amount of ammunition that they carry. Spraying bullets is a very Hollywood way of gun fighting. I guess I come more from a Quality over Quantity side of gun fighting. Making every round count, with the minimum use of effort. Don't get me wrong, I still aim in CK at every opportunity I get, to the point where I almost wish it was automatic! I guess I'm just looking for combat to gain another tactical layer without needless complexity.

I only acknowledge the existence of one xcom. There was an aimed shot, a quick single shot, and a three round burst The damage effect for each shot was equivalent. So if all three rounds of a burst hit, it was three times more deadly than a single shot The difference was in accuracy, which would decrease by percentages depending on the shooters abilities, and the amount of AP would vary as well.
