I like the idea of adding a psychic layer to the game. I know it treads close to the whole SR thing, but in all honesty psychic power is as much sci-fi as fantasy and it would add some depth and character variation.
Weapons that do modified damage based on DV, awesome idea, and makes sense. Small arms fire may not do as much to them, but something with some sort of electrical interruption (taser?) and they might be toast.
On another note I would like to see "bioware" at some point from high-end shops. Instead of chrome you go organic. A higher price tag (it has to be DNA cloned for your body), no DV modification, and maybe a lower effective use (instead of +1 it gives +.5)

Think that I might have a problem with auto ammo. Bought 100 units, have only been in a few fights but now I've only 14 left. Will need to try a few experiments to see if reloading my pistol might also be reloading my smg (even when its not empty). Currently carrying a MT Heavy Auto + ARES Lightfire.

Great suggestions team! moody - let us know if that's the case. monkeyrogue - all three sound awesome. If any sort of preternatural abilities occur, they will likely come later, introduced with a specific character or game event. There are lots of ways we could take Bioware, and we will keep the community posted.

moody: I had the same problem and found out that when you reload, it discards any unused ammo in your gun and removes a full clip's worth of ammo from the Cyberloader.

Good catches guys -- its invisibly eating ammo! I have added this to the bug tracker.

I found that out the hard way. To burn AP waiting for the other guys to make a move, I was pressing the Reload button a lot. OUCH!!

Combat suggestion: Can we get a button to WAIT in the combat sequence. I spend a bit of time just moving back and forth while I wait for the train of baddies to get to me. By doing so I dont have to fight five of them vs me. Also riot police have low AP but a high rate of fire and hit pretty hard. but now that my char is buffed up he can easily wipe them out by letting them run out of AP trying to rush me.
Also: How about something scary that can only hit you when your have super high heat, like a tank. impossible to kill but slow so you basically need to run...

Running is not in my to-do list, so we brobably need some heavy weapons to destroy it(landmine, heavy sniper(with anti-personnel/super heavy ammo),and some rocket-propellor grenade launchers, and an apache 9001 ultimateX with anti-tank missiles fired from 5AU away... Did i mention nuclear missiles?) Of course that kind of stuff would not be free... EDIT:oh and of course we need plazma rifles with rapid fire and more nuclear missiles and your own vechiles cabable to be used by more than one party member and big gatlings with ARES class bullet control so they will always hit.(increases cost of repairing bullets and avaibility of bullet repairs)...and we need flamethrowers and radiation guns and golden guns and portal[tm]guns and and SMARTbombs and plazma grenades(and normal grenades too) and game corrupion guns used against trese corp. Hackersoldiers and the AK477 and lightning guns and antimatter bombs and repulsor guns and poison guns and automatic pulse laser turrets and a lot more of stuff i am "too busy" to write down... Ok ok i cant stop!we need warp coil guns and predator missiles and artillery support(in a dome ) and lazer eye implants and retractable razor blade implants andgatling guns and moar vechiles like missile tank helicopters, vae victus, james bond's car, the hovertank, aaand out of ideas.

The way I wait in combat Silverstone is to either spend a turn reloading or choose to move but then don't make a move, just hit confirm. Then sit back and wait for the cannon fodder.....sorry I mean bad guys to get in range.

Yeah, waiting costs an AP. I need one that reduces me to 0 AP as well. When you have 12 AP, that takes a long time to burn through waiting for them.
Also, noticed a building named Metamagic Research. Are we preparing to cross into the 7th World?

I thing metamagic is a normal corp (not oMEGA corp) And that building is their research center. Wondering why someone would make so odd name for their corp?

Ballistics rating on the middle of the road armor is doing crazy stuff. Visited 5 shops in an hour and the ratings on the same equipment from from like 5 to 180 to over 2000 by the time I stopped.

What am I missing when it comes to AP.
There are times that I have AP left over, more than is needed to perform another action, but I am not permitted to do so. Like taking another shot at a living target. Ammo is full
What am I not understanding?

Dunno nails, I have 13 AP and sometimes I start with 9, it seems to occur pretty randomly too and can persist a few turns, then magically I have 13 again.
Cory, can we do something with ammo in general? I have about 1000 pieces in my inventory, and my fingers wear out adding them to my loader. Can we get some kind of auto-sorter/stacker function and have the reload action reload a set number of bullets? (20 for pistols 4 for heavy for example)
