Monkeyrogue, they are random mate. As far as I'm aware there's no real way of infulencing them.

Currently encounters are influenced by both heat (and therefore, tangentially, reputation). As this system fleshes out, this should become more apparent and clearly influenced (as opposed to the dark magic it is today).

Oh good, so the chicken I sacrificed earlier wasn't in vain? LOL I am hoping to find a way to specifically get VChip drops more often.

Side track a bit: I have started getting v-chips from rescuing idiots from enforcers, but when I call them up, they have nothing to say to me.
Where do I activate Skull and Tornado to do something for me beyond showing me the Disconnect button?

jeffjway. Mate quite a few of the contacts at the moment don't have much to say. I believe that they will be completed in the not to distant future. I've got a few like that in my list atm. Hang in there you'll get some that will want paydata and some that can supply taxis.

Another question: What do I do with Corrupt File Segments that i keep picking up?

jeffjway - install them into your computer (use the item in your inventory) and then view them from your computer files menu. Some of the files contain great hints, information, game advice, or dirty secrets on your enemies. Some contain junk right now (BETA).

The one I have is apparently a story from Warhammer 40k. BTW the Drones file is blank as is firefields.

All my 7 Corrupted Data segments are the same 40K story about going to attack Blood angels.. Wonder if the passcode therein is... real...

Really? WH40K stories? I want those. Back on topic: I have a suggestion. At each corp hq/gang hq there should be an option to trade in paydata but not for much money.

I think there should be a "general" paydata guy you can get who will trade all info, call him "Mr. Broker" or something simple. He doesn't pay even half as much as the others but at least we can unload some paydata.
I have difficulty with my heat (even when I die it drops to around 200+ and then if I hit the hotel it jumps to 500+) so trying to sell it off isn't working at the moment, Bravestar contact tells me not to call when I'm so hot.

Would be nice to see several segments of corupted data forming something that you could sell to a broker. So on their own they may seem useless, but once you assemble all of the parts of the code it would become something important to the factions.
Then you might have a better reason to hack the terminals. Also is there any chance of being offered hacking contracts? At the moment (I'm a sniper) all I ever seem to get are Fed-Ex missions (courier) or contract kills.
I know that I've suggested this before but. Would like to be able to courier data in my head (so long as you have the relevant implant), a little like Jonny Nemonic(sp).

I believe that was the original intent of that implant, wasn't it? I'm almost positive that it even said so in the flavor text.
Honestly, I want to see paydata become a bit more valuable. Right now, with the paydata I have accumulated from killing gangers, I can make a whopping 0 creds off of them. None of my contacts are willing to pay a dime for it.
