Dr. Kamp == Doc Liz
I fixed the chip, you already have the contact the name was not synchronous.
This contact is named in honor of an early ST RPG helper.

OK, Is Viktor a random v-chip from interfering or do I get him from a specific location. I hate running around waiting for people to rescue just to get contacts, esp when I already have so many.
Any advice?

I will ask Andrew to hide access to Viktor in a non-random location in an upcoming release. I think he already has plans for it but I'll +1 it for you =)

I had a question about Ladder contacts : how does the system exactly work ? By this, I mean : does the contact give you stuff depending on your rep with his faction, or depending on the number of missions you made for him ? Because when I first called Texas, I already had a 100+ rep with Bravestar (due to a small misunderstanding on how to get to Steel Parlor backroom ) and he gave me the pass right on, whuile I never made anything for him ! Does it mean I have already reached the top and can't get the other items ?

Where as I have now done 33 missions, have 87 rep and he hasn't given me anything but cash and the blue ox data.

Does it mean I have already reached the top and can't get the other items ? On that character and version combination you actually skipped all the intermediate bonuses and so forth. We noticed this a few releases later and tightened up the ladder connector code so that even if you run into Texas later in the rep-climb you get all the awards. The awards for the current ladder connectors is based on Reputation with the contact's faction. Later ladders will use "Contact Rep" which is a special type of reputation that is tracked with each Contact instead of with a particular Faction. The number of Jobs Successfully done probably won't factor into the ladders because it seems like a somewhat stilted representation and wouldn't penalize the Knight for killing the Contact's friends. As the game's political system is enabled and exposed (too buggy right now) more and more compromises will be required. For example, some Blue Ox connectors may not like to deal with you if you are hated or wanted by their corporate ... sponsors.

no problem. this is why the other players are locked. the game's save format needs to be protected from getting in these "stuck" states before we release the story modes.
I think the beta flag / sandbox testing works well, you can start over pretty easily, lots of classes and difficulties to try out -- and no one seems to be REALLY mad that a game gets messed up for a particular contact or ladder because they're not required to advance the story.

That's a BETA, after all ! No one will be mad because of this kind of bug... we know the risks ! (Although it can be hard to restart a character all over... )

I have a contact that seems in error. There is no name, the Image actually says Image Corrupt. they will still but BraveStar paydata though.
as for Texas...I haven't come across it yet. I am playing free version. ...yes, it is pretty sad of me to say that I am so broke, I cannot even afford to play elite.
ok, so we have established I'm a loser.

If you want to (virtually) meet Texas, go to the backroom of the Steel Parlor in BraveStar territory... And don't forget, backrooms can't be seen on the map !

After finishing the blue ox ladder I get told to call the gentleman king for further progression, but only seems to buy chip book info. What gives? & while I loved the Texas powers ladder, I already had found all the v chips, had all the apartments & the best armor, & only bothered completing the ladder due to the high paying contracts with a good negotiation stat
