X3 This is an Argon Mercury, transporter. The bright strip, is the flight deck/ bridge window. Not really any GOOD screenshots on the web. Doesn't do the game justice.

Elite: Dangerous. Looks a bit "Steam Punk", dunnit! Must be the BRASS colour, and what looks like CHUNKY plate metal and RIVETS. Oooooooo Me like! I mean really like! Acquired the Metro:2033 games on special. They going to be re-released, remastered, on AUgust 29, but I don't need that. The story is fantastic! Excellent feeling of oppression. One thing I like is that, hours into the game, it isn't about killing the monsters. It is about the exploration of the subterranean world. rabid err: Liked my own post by mistake. Sorry. Hah!

I remember thinking I'd like Metro: 2033 when it came out. That one might be fun on the xbox.

Great voice work, music, graphics, atmosphere, level design, fantastic gameplay - changing your air filters, using the air-powered sniper rifle that you pump up yourself before unleashing a silent ball bearing into someone's skull - just awesome! The lighting effects on the second game are amazing too. Without any spoilers, take note that occasionally a small whispering sound will play and the edges of the screen will momentarily flash white...

Metro 2033, wow. Great game. I'm hooked on Stealth killing entire levels now. It takes patience, skill and sometimes a little luck. Metro: Last Light next. rabid PS: Saw Darksiders 1 and 2 on special, as well as Dishonored. If anyone interested. PSS: I hope to see Star Traders:Empires (otherwise known as 4x) on there soon. rabid

I am playing through all the fallout games currently. I have no idea how I got past all those parts before I got power armor in fallout one. super mutants were tough in that game I have to admit.

I don't know if anybody remembers the tabletop game, "Living Steel"? www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CB0QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fen.m.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FLiving_Steel&ei=vUj5U87mM-rLsAS16YCABg&usg=AFQjCNH1iOJ-k5CaDZ134muy04thNEjlkQI've always been interested in "build from scratch" style games. Would have liked to have seen a game, based around LS. Bit like Templar Assault, in some respects. I've been playing Stranded 2, for a few years now, and have also been playing, Stranded 2, Massive Mod, Survivalist. I'm looking forward to Stranded 3. Not the most sophisticated game, but it has certain classic, escapist qualities.

I've been fiddling with the idea of joining EVE Online. What keeps me away is the cutthroat player base and the steep learning curve. rabid I considered it, but then it's subscription-only, and Elite: Dangerous is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for anyway. Elite: Dangerous beta is $75. O.O rabid

I'm resisting the urge to go into rant mode. Lol. www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CCoQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.eurogamer.net%2Farticles%2F2014-07-11-david-braben-explains-elite-dangerous-100-premium-beta&ei=1Ov7U9GrD6nS0QXO3IDoBQ&usg=AFQjCNFcaL6HNztd_19VrkLAvJuGZlIBVQI'm SURE there was a time, when Play Testers were PAID, to check games for bugs and other issues. Now WE pay, for them to make a game, that raked in £1.5 million, from the public pocket, in the first place. Braben may have. received an OBE, but his past programming performance, has not exactly been magnificent, (better when Ian Bell, was involved). I don't want to "rip the guy a new one", but I feel Kickstarters are being used and abused by the big companies, raking in, what I consider to be ALMOST like charity money, to further their mercantile mentality. Maybe "crowd funders" need more protection and Kickstarters should be more for SMALL outfits, that need a "leg up", to get started. Only a thought, and obviously, there are many other views to this subject.

Welcome to the new videogame entertainment industry, where early access/beta is a privilege worth shelling $60+ for with no promises of any actual support or interest in the game's health after the second price drop to $40. >=[ I don't care for it either. This is especially becoming an issue on console games as subscription-based titles don't do well and after customers buy the game, too many companies happily admit to not releasing patches, support or any additional content. All with the dreaded word of "coming soon", code for "never or way too late for this game's community to survive". There. See? I did your rant FOR you.

Not sure if you'd call this off topic, or on topic, but I'm playing Pixel Dungeon. Can't stop playing it to test out HOS Elite. What does that mean? Addictive... Star Traders is about the only thing that can pull me out of the dungeon...
