Huh, I just took off my headphones while playing Kingdoms of Alamur: Reckoning ... and I wasn't as super bored. The music! The darn combat music activates a deep sense of boredom! Since its the same music I've been hearing since lvl 1, I automatically go into "apathy" mode with it.
How many good games out there could be so much more enjoyable if the battle music changed depending on the zone, character? Class build?

The other is that I am very prone to ear-worms, which can last, for me for weeks. Record is for 9 weeks! God I never want to hear that particular song ever again, but even the mention of its name can set the thing up for me .... sigh. |

I'll say it, I don't care. CoD Advanced Warfare is possibly the best FPS I've ever played.

Is this a game about the battle between Postal Services, to be the best in the neighbourhood? The tactical part being, how to get the letter to the door, without the homeowners dog, chewing it, or you?  Joking aside, does anybody remember the game "Paper Boy", for the ZX spectrum? Or the skateboard game? Don't really see games in that style anymore. It's all snowboards etc. grävling. Ear worms???  |

Thank you for clearing up my mis-understanding and I'm sure glad, it isn't a real worm  , though I have had repeating music in my head and it's soooo irritating.  |

grävling, if you like Hoplite, you might like Populus Romanus, a very good turned-based strategy game with roman units. This is a tribute to old board top war games on hex paper that is well done. It provides the historic context of each scenario. If you like the battles in the free version... play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.populusromanus.britannia_freeYou can buy the full version. As for me, I'm barely able to make progress on HoS these days.
