I don't like setting up bots... I would love to learn how to program AI though. There is one game on android with this theme, but in the end that is a pretty shallow one

Mount and blade warband is also very tough But my Kingdom of Nekomimi is holding up bravely But I think I'll take a break and head for some yuri visual novels for once I love that game. Got it on PC and PS4. On the PC, I caused a rebellion with the Nords, won, beat the hell out of Swadia, took a city from the Rhodoks, conquered all of Swadia, helped the Nords beat back the Vaegirs, went at war with Rhodoks, Kherjits, and Vaegirs, and finally, I stole ninety percent of the Nords Lords, as well as some Swadians. On the PS4... I raided a village and got my army murdered by the enemy Lord, taken prisoner, and lost all my gold...

I actually have won a few games when I start a game by gathering an army and not going under any of the lords, just done enough quests to get to elite army and raided a few bandits and villages, after that straight for building an empire, I started by one of the weakened nord cities and later took another 3+ 2castles, after that I was in war with nords and as rhodoks and nords were at war both were distracted enough to eventually lose some cities, well after that lords started to join up, so eventually I conquered both of them without gathering very much attention from other factions well at that point you can imagine I was pretty much unstoppable😉

I instigate rebellions to get the Lords to like me, so I can convince them to join me later, all the while preparing for later wars by getting large armies and money from tournaments.

I gain large money from my enterprises and selling loot. For example Rivacheg has great dyeworks, producing 1000 every week. 10 weeks and you are in profits

Enterprises are great.
I did a mercenary playthrough once, and man... Enterprises help with the economic problem mercenaries seem to have.
(Said mercenary then continued on to conquer things.)
You know, I've never actually "finished" Mount and Blade.

You know, I've never actually "finished" Mount and Blade. Well the game doesn't have an official end, you technically win when you conquer everything, if you play longer, there will be rebellions and other stuff once per while...

People rebel against you?
That sounds... Pretty interesting, actually.
I should continue my conquest at some point. Though, I see it going the way of Rome. Great now, but it'll fall soon.

Not people, some of the lords, at some point they decides that they wants more(ingenious AI) and they declares war or starts to Attack other lords...

Well, there are three groups of lords. 1. Lords that only care about war and unity through military ways. A good example is Jarl Olaf. He is a great marshal btw, just like Boyar Doru. 2. Lords that want peace and unity of the world. These don't care about property that much. Example is Boyar Druli. 3. Lords that want only to be rich. You can only convince them by offering lands.

On a different note, I have delved into Stronghold crusader lately. I'm not among the best, but I'm still becoming quite good in multiplayer. Not to brag, but after a 20 minute no rush my opponent was astonished by the fact that I sent 211 horse archers to him They died anyway due to his teammate helping him though. Still, I was very disappointed with Crusader extreme. It was criticised for overwhelming difficulty... But where is that difficulty? There are just 6 or 7 missions you cannot rush and only three of them are actually challenging. Although when you don't rush, the diff indeed kicks in...
