vylox -- that is also my perception of the game. Any AI ship can fight other ships, but doesn't prefer to. Colony ships Colonize, World Killers invade. AA -- If you are seeing something different, I won't argue with you. =)

One time i let one go and it attacked the planet i wish i could take screenshots The only time I have seen a Xeno colony ship even approach a world was when it was possible to colonize it. If there is an inhabited world they will go around it outside of that planets influence range unless an empty world is close. Cory TreseI went back and forced circumstances again and again. The Red Zorga can colonize using a World Killer class ship. I will try other maps and see if i can start close enough on the small ones to watch the Xeno groups colonize during the first 20ish turns or so. Do note that they are the only Xeno that i have seen colonize with a world killer as yet. But its easy to watch them on the 32x32 Rinze map with 30 worlds.

And it is out on the Net. We are fragged.

I guess I will log a bug and go over the code again. Already did it twice, maybe on the third time I'll find something. One thing to keep in mind is that ships moving under dark Fog move 1 tile per 0.01 seconds -- very fast. vylox you said you forced the situation many times, so I'll assume you had a big bank of the fog pushed back and the ship wasn't getting past you. I've played a few thousand hours of 4X and I've never seen this, and I play with hard check turned on, which would abort on any AI offset issues, and I've never seen it. Who knows. Bug logged, maybe someday I'll figure it out. Ticket #2860 4X - Bug - AI Using Colonizing AI code on World Killer Ships? For now, not a very high priority because 1) it must be extremely rare 2) it doesn't cause a crash 3) no one is complaining on e-mail.

It isnt a big thing, and after scanning and watching the other AIs on small maps (scan using the colony hive ships and the explorer) it appears to be specific to that particular map and location. However it happens about 7 out of 10 starts i do on that specific map. When the Xeno (Red Zenga) starts in the upper section of the map they colonize slower and it is more difficult for me to actually watch.
