May I join, too? How far we may push the pitiful SS and Javats intrigues me.

I would like to koin in as well.
I think taking the northern planet is in our best interest. We can certainly have our best minds get research in faster and have plenty of quality to spare.

.See how my example inspires others? Clearly, I am not meant for the plebian ranks of Javat, or the thuggish SSs.

Gentlemen, all are welcome, of this there is no doubt.
These laborers and mercenaries, while at times distasteful, are going to be vital to our survival and prosperity. Until we are given more reason to dislike them than our initial predilections have already given us, we should be as civil as possible, so that we might set an example.
As mistrusting as we are of them, these factions are our only allies in our fight against whatever evils lurk in the blackness of space. If we resort to brutish immaturity and debase ourselves, who then will the quadrant look to for civility and worthwhile reading material?

This is true, my friend, yet… are we sure any or them can read? Ah, a foolish question. The Javats must, to be able to use their picks, read the instructions between swings. I apologise.

Let them fight among themselves. As long as we are civil others shall know our glory!!! Onwards to my latest invention: space pizza

House members of this greatest nation. The time has come for us to do more than simply yearn for solid ground. johndramey of the Templar Command has requested of us these things: 1 - What should the next research project be? 2 - I’d like to have a construction priority list submitted for each planet, preferably containing at least 3 projects marked as high, medium, and low priority projects. 3 - Should the fleet be recalled for refueling? 4 - Anything else you’d like me to do What say you, Thulun? My vote for now on each of these: 1- We need to research a few things. Important, but not extremely critical is to build our Starship research so that we may begin expanding. We will also need to research Hab units that hold more than a single unit of citizens. Understanding that we aren't the only nation in the quadrant, I say we wait to find out how the other nations feel about Research, then we turn our scientists to the task most important to the alliance. 2- Having the mine up and running well be a great asset. My vote is for 2 Hab units, right away, then another mine. It is too early in the game to begin larger projects, so let us deal first with the influx of refugees. 3- I say recall the Templar Explorer, and let the warships continue carefully on. I don't like having unexplored anomalies so close to our planets, and the information we could obtain is critical in these first few weeks. 4- johndramey I know you are already writing a ton for this, but it would be a huge help if there were a list of research and buildings that we could choose from. I don't play this game often enough to have everything memorized if not, I'll just stay a new game and try and keep up with this one...

En1gma, I'll get on putting up the research tree, or at least the options we can choose from at this point.

I still believe, that expansion is a priority, but I see your wisdom in preparing the homeworld for the future first, En1gma. Also the point about asking the other "Noble" houses is a good idea, though as they insisted we start next to them, I think we should push on this one. So if at all possible, the Thulun should choose Colony Ships next. I confess that I must bow to your plans for Thulun Prime, as I usually just build mines immediately. I think that our Javat… companions may complain if we render them obsolete. Visibly. I have no particular leanings on recalling the Explorer, as some anomalies are more harm than help, and one bad effect may cause problems for us, so I am currently going for the triple explorer plan. There, brethren of the Thulun Council, I finish.

Concur with En1gma on all points except the research. I believe starship construction is extremely critical. Also, I believe that however we despise those grubby mineral collectors, they are more efficient at what they do than we are, so I feel that we should start on a factory and be content with a single mine, drawing on funds provided provided by other parties for now, and later on, when we are rich, we can provide more production in return. Also, would like to suggest that we use the standard Proboards "like" system as the method of voting for proposals; that is, a "like" means complete concurrence, and alternate proposals can use their own posts.

Upon careful consideration, I too would agree to prioritizing Starfleet over planetary research. And mine building can certainly take a back burner, assuming the other nations are willing to put up with our decreased revenues for a while. I did say before that our true wealth lies in knowledge.

Research on Colony ships needs to be first priority, at present we are to vulnerable to enemy action should the xeno appear.
After we've regained the technology to build colony ships then we need to turn to the research of culture and industry so that we can build spice dens and trade exchanges. They will enhance our economic growth, aid in our political efforts and help keep the masses calm and focused on productivity.
Maintaining enough living space to house our growing population is vital, best we build extra hab units before we find people living on the streets and in alleys. Once we have sufficient housing (say 2 more than currently needed by population) then let us turn to factories so we can ensure the productivity of all our citizens. Only after housing and factories should we consider adding more mine units.
Again I call for the immediate research of colony ships and once we have the tech pushing a couple to the head of our production que. With new colony ships we then claim Tennath and Leiwen. They both appear to have good quality allowing for our population and production to grow. Their location means we can readily produce fighters and other craft for the defense of humanity and have them in position to support any spot along the front lines. I propose we offer Javat, Galantia and Chalicstine for their support of this proposal on expansion. Gives them potentially better mineral resources for their mining operations and keeps them in a more central location where they are easier to protect. That will leave Salveria and Ogvidissio for the Steel Song and their Mercenaries to build their fortifications on.
I urge you to consider recalling the Templar ships for refueling at this time. We are far from ready to face the Xeno so no reason to alert them to our presence at this juncture. Having the fleet close will reduce maintenance costs and improve combat readiness by ensuring they have the Water-Fuel needed for any engagement. Let the exploration ship refuel and research those anomalies and then it can begin to cautiously explore deeper into the quadrant.
Respectfully your servant Marquis XDesperado, Minister of War and Sentinal of Truth

xdesperado has summed up perfectly our strategy. He has my full bashing and support, and move to vote for an immediate copy/paste to the primary thread.
