I voted I hate you because it would result in the last vestiges of my free time disappearing! Concept great .. private our public games. Turn duration and game limitations should be options. Elite only but not monthly subscriptions. There would also need to be password options for games so you can restrict it to your friends. St4x would lend itself to multiplayer turn play really nicely. Becomes like the old game vga planets, which was awesome

chordant what is the missing piece in this mystery of the lost hp is what was your reputation with the factions that took your hp? If it's a pirate and you don't have a trade permit then even if you're friendly with them they may still be mean. It's a bummer that you left your return to a safe port with such a low amount of crew and hp. As an explorer, don't take so much risk as your health is your biggest asset. For crew, don't use more crew than 2/3 your cargo space. Any more is a waste.

This is known and is something that the devs can't very easily stop. Note though that when you force close a game, there is data that is stored in game memory that is lost. It may be less obvious with ck, but in star traders, losing the memory cache had subtle impacts for the rest of that character's life.

On level deck 14 relays thingy, I got a couple of med kits. When I went to use one on captain it crashed the game.

Ships surrender ... usually when you've blown out their engines or put large enough holes in their crew spaces, they surrender. That's how you get to loot crap from them.
For Steel Song, I tend to skip the looting portion though - unless they have some artifacts. Don't really care about anything else with them.

poryg, no I rechecked the flow chart and it still works fine. You will be able to shoot at an independent ship without fear you are breaching any regulations.

Of course boarding is a strategy - and in fact, some argue that broading is a strategy too. The two camps on the matter are the Gun Bunnies, and the Boarders. I am not a bunny but I certainly sit in the former camp. Shoot to kill ... but preferably from a distance.

I didn't see the screenshots - but there is a difference between achieving the award (achievable on any rank) and achieving the unlock reward. You can get Star Lord (60 rank promotions) on Normal difficulty and achieve the award. However, you don't get the Combat Hull Architecture unlocked unless you achieve 60 rank promotions in Crazy difficulty.
Check in the upgrades section of the ship docks and you'll find this to be the case. When you go and buy a Combat Hull Architecture upgrade, you'll get a toast saying that you need to unlock the Star Lord achievement on Crazy to unlock this reward.

I, really shouldn't be talking because it's been forever since I've played ST, but I can't ever remembering dominating, or being dominated by torps. Bloody boots was the way to go, especially if you sought out encounters with xenos. My paws are never bloody. That's because the enemy crew are either dead or have surrendered before I need to come across. Torps make for great distractions. It helps you escape from a particularly enthusiastic alien, and certainly softens up enemies before you draw close, but you need guns and skill shooting them in order to have fur as clean as mine. Anyway - you're Steel Song, so anything you say regarding combat strategy should be taken as humor

Kydon, 1. Crew are mostly human. 2. Humans are 70% water (although Rychart are 65% water, 5% hat, and Steel Song are 60% water, 10% custard). 3. Water is rather important as a fuel source. 4. There is a human-shaped orifice near the rear of the reactor, labelled "extractor". 5. ... "There were some unfortunate incidents .... " So no. They don't use up all of the water-fuel. They ARE a source of water-fuel.

Hey ... if you're mistaking ntsheep for a cat, you've had too much Vudka. No wonder you're singing songs. Steel Song only has to remember the name of your ship. Oh, and three other little things...close, board, destroy. We don't need torps or teapots. You only close quickly because cardboard is not very air-tight, and you have no weapons that can do more than make a tepid cup of weak tea. Also - I think you were mistaken ... You close You board. You get destroyed. It's an easy enough mistake to make. Steel Song aren't good with words.
