I love, Love, LOVE the Almanac idea. This would be awesome. Almanacs are usually published annually, so I might use encyclopedia or compendium. Something like Planetary Compendium would let the player know the type of information it stored. Checking the original conversations, I think the TB term is even cooler: Galactic Atlas |

At the risk of crowding the screen, I'd like a marker for Doctors on the world map. It's a little silly to have to manually pick each planet, land on it and THEN find out if there's a doctor there. There is a long discussion buried in the 'Requests/Suggestions' on the upcoming 'Almanac' of information. Basically, you'll have information on everywhere you've visited. Plus the capability to 'star' or 'favorite' planets (and perhaps comment too), so you'll be able to know who has cheap fuel, good doctors, whatever. The discussion finished along the lines of 'things that you would normally keep track of on paper' should be readily available from within the game. Yah, small/minor detail, it just feels like you want to drag the various options into place. The up arrow wasn't a priority nuisance, glad the next rev has a new FFN. 👍

would be nice to have a locker to re-store (take off) armor, weapons, etc...
but on first read, if they desert from the ship, don't understand the logic of automatically removing them of their trousers, guns or knives. I'd think they would take everything they could get, including some loot.

Darn you clever game designers forcing me to make meaningful decisions! ;-) yah, I've been putting contacts at the bottom and starting just with a Prince, looks like I'll have to revisit that strategy down the road. But, once we are able to upgrade to different ships, I might move my starting ship lower than B as well. |

Good question grävling. After the last twitch stream, I got the sense that the contact traits and linked contacts were more to do with potential storylines/types of missions he is likely to hand out. Will be interested to hear TB's take on it. |

I liked the old times on Tuesday or Thursdays. I can watch reruns on other days though, so if you gotta change, go for it. The most important thing is consistentcy so we know when you're coming. And proper notice-- no one on the forums knew about the last stream until the day before. yah, honestly, the only way I knew was that I received a notification on my phone from my twitch app [Trese Brothers broadcast is starting!]. Would be helpful to x-post to the ST2 forum as well; during the alpha, it's the only forum I check regularly. |
