If it helps, whenever you Abort Navigation, and you happen to be on a Planet/Warpgate, the game will behave like you just traveled into that square and open up the relevant screen. It does sounds like there is a duped warpgate there... yep, but in this case, I'm pretty far away from any planet or warp gate, so clearly it's a different issue. Weird, huh?? Hopefully, TBs will be able to figure out how a 'ghost-gate' could have been generated, but your advice is solid. :-)

I can probably fix this if you send me the files or go into the Quadrant Map and give the the two numbers for the quadrant with the gate issue. It's on my android, so can't send the files (not jail-broken). Not concerned with getting this particular game fixed, just wanted to report the bug. Wish I could send the files tho...

ah, some additional insight. This is my 'home' or starting galaxy, I was heading back to the planet in the upper right corner, where my contact Prince is located.
The jump to 'Star Valley' is the jump gate shown in the upper left of the screen (and it does work). So it's some kind of ghosting/duplication of the jump gate. This only occurred in the area that my ship was in... couldn't recreate it in other areas of the map. Hope this helps. Have to get to work, but can play around with it more tonight if you would like me to provide additional information....

1. Used mission button on map to Navigate back home to complete a mission 2. Pressed Navigate button to auto-route back 3. Tapped screen to pause (needed fuel, intended to run to close-by planet) 4. Tapped screen to navigate to close planet 5. Jump Gate screen appeared. (odd) 6. Cancelled the jump (back button) 7. Tried to recreate (tap here, tap there, tap over here on map), had a ship encounter. 8. Repeated 7, jump gate appeared again 9. Repeated 8, jump gate appeared again On my Galaxy Tab (tablet details in footer) Screenshots (shows ship positioning on map, and results of 'encounters')

Cory Trese for keyboards, I've always gone with Matias brand. Several choices of mechanical switch keyboards, available through matias.ca or amazon. I use the standard TactilePro (like the clickety clack), but they have quiet mechanical switches too.

A way from the _cargo_ display screen to jettison while in space would work for me. It's the 'hunt for a wilderness world, as you have no other way to get rid of this stuff when a new, more exciting opportunity presents itself' aspect that is annoying. Jettison-"ing" hasn't crossed my mind as a solution for cargo space. Doubt seeing myself wanting to purchase something ('if only I had room'), then going into orbit (or space) and wasting fuel just to dump something overboard. In the scenario above you described, I've just flown to a wilderness to stash it, or sold it at a loss in the current market. Also follows my current habit of leaving 5-10 free cargo space intentionally, just-in-case I find something really interesting or profitable. Also, I would prefer seeing max units (and their price), even if I don't have the funds, just so I can see the max available and potential price of the volume. If you max at available room, there isn't a way to see what available quantity is. I sometimes use this to determine whether to sell something off first, so I can buy more of the items that I can't currently afford. Just my 2 cents.

It told me to skip the registration step/link if I had windows. But it still won't register my computer. you don't have to register, just click the swirly thingy in the upper left corner, select the windows icon (of the four below... i think it is pencil/crayon/ruler icon), and download it. It was confusing to me the first time too, but basically you don't have to do anything else except sign in the website at rink.hockeyapp.net (with windows)... [use a browser, not an app]

fallen Cory Trese, I've spread the testing out on my iPad to include: 1. Altered template, same map (3 games) 2. Same template, new map (3 games) 3. New template, new map (3 games) all are showing the same bug. My GUESS is that it's a corrupt download or install. I'd like to just keep the iPad on hold until the next release to install over the previous and test your fixes; if still an issue, I'll restore the iPad to - 1 month or so, reinstall and test. Any other ideas?

OK. I started 5 new games, still using the iPad. All of them have the same bug.
1. Used same template (screenshot above) 2. Used same map (31 sectors), selected Thulun 3. Upgraded Captain talent to 'Gut Instinct' 4. Officer 1 (Navigator); job Smuggler, talent Resolute Navigation 5. Officer 2 (Pilot); job Spy, talent Sly Move 6. Promoted Crew Dog to officer 7. Promoted Pistoleer to officer 8. Purchased Fuel (if contact not on same planet) 9. Navigated to Contact planet 10. Contact/Mission 11. Select Mission option 1, then 2 12. Mission 1 has always been 'deferred payment' 13. Mission 2 has mostly been '2147.5m' (one game mission 1 and 2 were deferred payment. Completed Mission 2 and returned to planet, selected new mission 2, and it was for '2147.5m'
Checked crew on each game, they have all different skills and traits, but the entire crew is from the same home planet (weird). So game 1, everyone is from Bellatrix; game 2, everyone is from Goserk, etc...
But definitely have a template/map that can recreate the bug. So I'll leave everything as is until I get some thoughts back from you. I can document, screenshot, or start deviating from the above conditions, whatever you need.

Device is having other types of issues? Money coming and going ... that sounds like saved game corruption. I am digging into what I can figure out by have no luck reproducing on any platform so far. All missions are exactly the same price? 2147 million? Missions were always the same price '2147.5m' This happened early in the game, captain was level 3, so the only upgrade I did was 'Gut Instinct', everyone else on the crew was not upgraded (Level 2 officers, Level 1 crew), due to the D level experience. Anyway, just got back home, going to try another game(s) on the iPad with the same map and template, and see if I can trigger it again. I'll leave the previous game in it's current state.

Cory Trese has pointed out that the maximum value of an unsigned integer is 2147483647 on iOS. Something fishy going on here. Got any Talents related to Mission prices? Anything else possible? Really scratching heads over this one. Could you try on a brand new game on your iOS? Good idea! I'll use the same template and map to try another game when I'm off work in a few. The only other tidbits I can offer is that it happened on 1.0.31 once, but never accepted the mission (I thought it was a typo for 2147 credits), then the next version came out before I continued the game. Also, 1.0.33 is a clean install.

MintDragon - screenshots are extremely helpful, but sometimes its most helpful for us to just type up the ... 1. I asked for a mission from the Conflict box 2. I didn't like it so I asked for a new mission from the Trait box 3. I saw the mission paid in the millions 4. I asked for another mission ... these types of reports can be really hard to follow when the order of operations isn't clear. I've tested this one three contacts and wish I could get 2 million credits! Ok, will take screenshots to document, but try to just use text for these things. With the missions, I didn't do anything out of the unusual. In early game I 1. Ask for 2 missions (left, middle) 2. Personal mission was 'deferred payment', didn't like 3. Middle mission was a 0 hyperwarp return cargo mission with 2147m payment 4. Selected middle mission 5. At turn-around point of mission, the second planet had a contact, and accepted mission from him for 2147m credits (repeated steps 1-4 above at this planet) 5. completed mission, had zero credits 6. finished mission #2 and got paid. 7. returned to original home planet, repeated steps 1-4, accepted middle mission (again return cargo mission), completed mission, and had zero credits again. I'm going to try and recreate tonight on my iMac after work, but here is the template used.
