Yah, depending on the screen I'm on, I usually want the back button to be a 'previous screen' button; right now the results of the back button sometimes do that, or the default/catchall seems to send the user 'up' (figuratively 'zoom out' to the next level).
I've just been making some mental notes, but since it's more UI related than anything, figure I'd wait to provide input til we have a UI that's closer to what TB's envision. So... 'gone' isn't the reaction I usually have. I guess it's more along the lines of 'can't wait for a better UI'. :-)

After a weekend of trying to level my Explorer captain, it was nice leveling to Job #5 and getting new talents. With my 28 person crew, I seem to have a lot of 'Level 1' overlap, but I'm trying to concentrate them on passing 'xyz' tests. The variety in reaching higher levels is great, and with further travels, battle, explorations with the missions, the experience seems to be accelerating a bit. I'm sure we'll need some balancing at some point, but the talent progression is very nice. Good job guys.

Going to play through a few games tonight/this weekend to get to higher job levels...
Question about talents such as being able to 'pass a ____ test'; since it has a 3 week cooldown, does having multiple crew having the same talent provide the benefit of passing the same test prior to the first one completing the cooldown? (I'm assuming so, lessened my concern with having >1 having certain talents; but my normal crew size is 28. A 40 person crew from turn 1 would certainly alter my view... should probably play different crew sizes [ships] to get perspective.

The exchange UI is magnificent, tons of info (especially where the items are typically found and sold). The default for the PRICE column shows items sorted by Best->Worst trade value (which is great). Selecting the arrow, reverses this (worst letter grade to highest), but (in my newbie mind) the second most important sort would be high price to low price (or visa versa). I'd like to see the most expensive items, glance at their grades, because even if they aren't a great 'value' price, I can make a bunch more money from 10 units of an expensive B item than 10 units of A+ Biowaste. To do that, I'd prefer to see the most expensive to least expensive on the second sort, then judge from the grade whether to buy it. Again, just an idea on the reverse sort of Price per Unit. I know someone else brought this other thing up, but would prefer to see all cargo (legal, permit req ok, permit req 'you don't have it', and illegal) on the primary sort on the sell cargo exchange; I continue to do a double take of "where did my cargo go??".. so I'm seconding their suggestion

It's almost 4. No stream today? Edit: I ask because you mentioned in the last stream that you would be streaming from 4 to 6 on Mondays and Thursdays. Not because I see anything mentioned about a stream today on these forums. Sorry, no stream today. We're not that good at doing a published schedule yet. We'll try to get this week's schedule published. possibility of committing to Saturday 2/25 @ 2PM EST? Would give plenty of time for people to see through forum channels, can encourage frequent/active posters to the alpha testers, and would be kind of neat to start to build up Saturdays as a 'release day' for the next revision of the alpha (show the new features, play through and debug a little, answer questions, then release later in the day). just a thought

MintDragon - a service certain Contacts like an ex-Explorer might offer is to tell you the coordinates of wild zones that you've never visited. Its on the roadmap, but deemed not critical. can't wait to be surprised. just fyi, I believe that I paid a Prince contact ~10,000 credits for the introduction to this contact, so it makes sense that he might offer something special..

Thanks, glad you found one! Proves the proc-gen is working. Rare Goods are not yet implemented, hopefully next release. Cool! Really like the 'surprises' with the contacts, 'intro to new contact', 'offer to purchase rare goods', ?? [map to secret stash or map to hidden planets are other things coming to mind] A great dynamic, think it will add a lot to the game.

Yes, that works, but it's not much help, as the problem is 'zip, off go the things you want to read as soon as you hit pay' so you cannot read them. Admittedly it is not as bad a problem now that the 9 happy storytellers get 1 line for themselves instead of 9 lines. (If they had survived my rooting this tablet, alas RIP the storytelling gang.) Before I could really lose information as it was scrolled gone by the time the window moved. I understand now. yah, it's pretty common for me to want to see info on the log screen that has scrolled up already. Cory Trese had confirmed (in another post I did somewhere where I asked about adding a 'log' button to the main screen ala battle log button) that we will have access to the log, and the scrolling log might have user-defined level of detail. Looks like you and I are left wanting for the time being

grävling, on your device, does tapping the 'Spice and Entertainment' bar close the window? I've been doing that to glance at other info when making decisions...

My current crop of captains all have skills as #1 and attributes as #5. This is working out incredibly better for me in terms of doing missions successfully than my last crop of captains which had attributes #1 and skills as #5. And attributes #1 has been nerfed some since when I built those. ships #2, captain #3?

upgrading jobs: Leveling to Level 1: description states "Level 1 adding +1 Tactics, +3 Command, +2 Intimidate" Leveling to Level 2: description states "Level 1 adding +1 Tactics, +3 Command, +2 Intimidate" Leveling to Level 3: description states "Level 3 Would Add... Is the text supposed to mean that Level 2 doesn't increase skills? or Level 2 typo in sentence, but still no skill increase? or?? screenshots below, seems to be for every job tree I've tried:

Just in the beginning of a game, playing as Cadar. I am able to accept 2 missions from contacts, the mission summary page states Current Missions: 2/1 (maxed by 16 rep). Was able to get 2 missions from another contact (Cadar) as well. Screenshot below:
