Yep! We're working on some way to make it more clear. bobc has suggested a !! highlight on the crew list, which could help. Every level, you're going to either gain a new Job Rank or a New Talent. Crew automatically spend their Job Rank on their only Job. So, in this case, two crew gained Job Ranks and spent them on their Jobs. That leaves you with no follow up action. If they were officers, you'd get to spend their job ranks. Next level, they might gain Talents. Then you'll be back in the driver's seat with action again. It is a bit confusing as to whether I need to do something. Just an idea, but a continuation/second sentence stating "Action needed for XX officers, XX crew" or "Assignments Pending for xx crew" might be a good reminder/tickler that you have to assign jobs or talents. By extension, if I've been busy and not paying attention closely, the XX amount could include previous leveling that I've not taken advantage of...

So.... I need to provide offline training for a client project, so I had to 'acquire' screen-casting software as part of the contract. Having read the manual and playing around with things, late last night decided to take it for test run and recorded how to do a clean install on OSX. Went ahead and started a game and played for a bit too. If you are a Mac person, or just want to have a laugh (it's harder than it looks ), you can click the youtube link hereYes Cory Trese and fallen , it's set as 'unlisted', so stragglers won't stumble on the alpha. Equipment: Mac Powerbook Screenflow (similar to Camtasia Studio, Mac only), works with iPhone and iPad captures too, pretty cool. Logitech h800 wireless headset Edit: It's screen-casting vs streamcasting (my bad), I'm such a newbie at this stuff...

John Robinson - the data is exported from the game's database directly. As long as we run an export process, then the wiki will get the latest. This should help save your fingers and wrists from hours of data export manually. You'll have the time instead to write guides and higher level content I will look into seeing if those tables could be sortable, but I doubt it. Maybe secondary tables that are by Grouping, but again, maybe overkill. We'll see how it goes! Hopefully Jobs coming up soon. Really, really looks great guys. Glad it's basically an auto-insert from your export of game data/info. big thumbs up.

"Your Captain will advance the most quickly, while Officers will follow close behind, and your run of the mill crew will gain in Job Ranks and Talents the slowest." Looks like the Captain and Officer tables are swapped? Yah, need clarity on speed of upgrading to next vs max upgrade. I actually don't mind officers achieving higher levels; more officers than captains.

fallen Just took a look. This looks very professional color choices, readability, and what isn't implemented. Really like the speedy lookup alphabetical order. First impressions; Wow I wonder if there is a way to get a printer friendly version? Next thought was; Is there a way to look at the list by Grouping? Not suggestions just the first things that popped into mind.Does this thing self update when you make a change? The data goes into some kind of program? Very cool Just beg them to make an-export-to-Google-spreadsheet as well as an-export-to-wiki. Then group things there. But not now, please, dear god some of us are desperate to get to play the game without the added thrill of vanishing ship components. Was able to copy/paste into Excel; so for semi-current brain tossing-ness, one could sort through the info as preferred. Presumably with Google's version as well. For me anyway, it's good enough...

MintDragon - big thanks for the screenshots. Took #3402 to fix this. Definitely just a certain aspect ratio that confuses the scaling code in the screen Ok this took a lot longer than I would have liked, but the extreme variety of resolutions to cover made this pretty hard to get perfect everywhere. Fixed for next! That's awesome 👏

I think before xdesperado spends time on that, it wouldn't hurt to get confirmation from the Devs about whether "Earth" metals/elements exist in the ST Universe?? s/whether/which/ and, ah, why would any of them not exist?? Cuz of the space whether.

As my clan's most thrill-seeking Javat Explorer, I've been to many worlds, settlements, cities and wildernesses alike. While I traded during lean times, I quite enjoyed taking on missions that would send me across the galaxian quadrants with purpose... and always a home to long for and return to. I took so many missions, especially against the hated De Valtos, that within the Spice Halls there were always whispers of me meeting my demise shortly. Today my Navigation officer pointed over across the room. I looked at the grease-tinged wall. A De Valtos notice with my name and picture with the title "Wanted War Criminal" was posted, she whispered that some of the crew were contemplating leaving before we left port. "Spice for everyone!" I shouted, followed by a roar from my crew. I reached for her sector maps. They were labelled 1.0.23, which were the most recent version available. Perfect for a long voyage across many sectors... Glancing up once again at the wall, I realize how young I looked in the picture, back when... and then I smiled What my officers and crew did not know is when THAT picture was taken, I was actually on a De Valtos planet in their strongest sector. And the young but powerful Prince was in love with my sister. He courted her and wanted to show her the beauty of the worlds in the sector he controlled... until a perfect storm of meteors and radiation tore through part of his ship. The vacuum was sealed quickly, but not before she was lost into the cold abyss forever. It was time to cash in those chips, receive pardon for the crimes that made me and my crew rich beyond a lifetime of dreams, and finally retire back home on my childhood planet, a nice peaceful farming planet far from the interest of politicians and mercenaries. "We leave in the morning!" Arriving in the De Valtos palace several months later, I spoke with the dignitaries who assured me that 20,000 credits would clear me of my crimes. I swaggered over to the Princes offices with credits at the ready, looking for the button to push to enter his office and complete the transaction. But there was no button! It should be here... right HERE! I spun around to the dignitaries and glared, "What madness is THIS? Don't play games with me political scum!" "The prince isn't here" one of them announced with a smirk, as 4 guards entered the room. "Patrol! By my side, and ready yourselves!" As the guards moved towards us, I whispered, "Take no quarter. Kill. Them. All" [Edit/Reference: xdesperado discovered a boo-boo in the coding, that prevents one from purchasing pardons (link here), and on my epic 1.0.23 game, I'm playing a Javat explorer with my De Valtos Prince contact waaaay on the other side of the map, some 6 sectors away. Part of my mid-game strategy was to take the most lucrative missions, especially if they were against De Valtos, as I would work my way over there eventually, and get a pardon from the Prince. Well, that didn't work out so well...]

Had an idea tho. You risk losing reputation for selling back a planet their own goods within xx turns or xx weeks

Death save yes... i get it now. Playing on basic. Re: new thread, I got it. Thx Hehehe, we need to explain things more Also, definitely when a character is knocked out of combat, the game needs to take a minute, pause, show the Death Save being rolled so you can chew on your finger nails, and then show the result. Surviving a Death Save will be a near guarantee of Trait mutation, so will you end up Scarred, Brave, or Crippled? Appreciate the new thread thing. I know its a pain. A Death Save screen would be awesome and really help the immersion. Sorry about the combination of bugs, I was drifting off to sleep. Thought about it. Know better. My bad
