I woke up thinking about this time period of the Star Traders journey following Exodus, and "Age of ..." started going through my mind.
Star Traders: Age of Ascension Star Traders: Age of Expansion Star Traders: Age of Discovery Star Traders: Age of Adventure Star Traders: Age of __________ ??

You got the thing in the brackets on character creation, same as your traits, I believe. Don't sweat it, the whole thing gets new display, and at least slightly new behaviour, and new explanation with the next release. The only thing to know is that if you want the thing in the brackets to show up in your pool, you need to promote a crewman who has them to officer, otherwise it doesn't happen. Ok, yah came across that thread earlier today. I guess it's best not to figure things out til the UI explains things a bit better. My current game is nearing 3000 moves, so I'm starting to understand some deeper things and have more interest in getting my stats up in certain areas (like doctor). But it's alpha. And I'm still having tons of fun!

I basically forgot that I forgot to fuel up before making a jump, saw the warning of emergency jump, and attempted it successfully. The game gave me notice that 'heavy damage is done' and 'crew morale took a 60 hit' (or something like that), so I went to the closest planet to refuel. Damage was only minor repair to 3 or 4 components (wasn't what I was expecting) In the spice hall, I visited the doctor, and only a few crew needed minimal treatment, and NO ONE was in need of spice. (really wasn't what I was expecting) I didn't keep my normal game detail (really tired, long week), but I can try an recreate tomorrow night/this weekend if I stumbled on something you haven't seen or were expecting. Honestly, was just expecting to spend a fortune getting myself whole, then close down the game for the night Or I can zip everything up and email too. Last thing, my captain has 'Doctor 0 [4]', I'm sure it's been explained to me once, but how the heck did I get the 4 points in the brackets?

More Exploration Bug(s) [played on my MacBook Pro, OSX 10.12.3, ST2 1.0.23] While accepting an exploring related mission, my crew was attacked twice, Xeno and some silly other party. I lost a total of 3 'on patrol' crew during the encounters. When I completed my mission, hopped over to another landing site on the planet to assess the crew loss, but all were accounted for (28/28 crew) when I tried to recruit. Apparently they are invincible. Here is a shot of them preparing for battle; lost the swordsman, pistoleer, and soldier in the back with the pistol. As mentioned, completed the mission, jumped over to the other landing site on the planet, paid everyone, doctored everyone, spiced everyone, then hit recruit: I just played through it, thought it might have been already a known issue, but... So I shortly ran into a contact that sold me some pretty cool armor, so I bought 5 of them, 4 for the 'on patrol' party and 1 for the captain. When updating their armor, clicking on a crew person's existing armor, it gave me a choice of their existing base armor (from the locker), or the new armor I just bought. I thought it strange that even tho I had 5 of them, there was no indication that there was more than 1 available of the new armor. I did outfit all 5, and when I tried a 6th person, the new armor wasn't an available choice. So technically, everything worked correctly, was just real confused, as there wasn't an indication that there were quantity 5 of the 'new armors' available

I really like the EVOLVED idea. good one resistor . Some other ideas: Star Traders: Ascending Worlds Star Traders: Emerging Worlds Both of these hint at multiple quadrants, 'fog of war' discovery, political ascension You just gave me an idea... Star Traders: Ascension Ha Ha, I had that one on my list too, but was worried about stepping on another game's name. But it really sounds cool.

You should put your hardware in your sig, so that we can be jealous of you. Bleah. Who wants to scroll for 2 pages every time Cory Trese makes a post here? Sidenote: It maxes out at 500 chars, so I had to prioritize my list and leave out my legacy testing equipment 😔 Mainly Windoowz, so no one really cares about that stuff 🤣😂😝 😳

Dang MintDragon has some nice hardware. Really this signature thing is just so I can get jealous of everyone's machines. yah, but as I was telling grävling last night, "Damn I have a bunch of equipment. But mostly for compatibility testing, so I can't officially call myself a geek "

I appreciate the effort to simplify this aspect. In a game as complex as this, feeling the need to tend to 30+ crew and all their gear, talents, and station was more than daunting. Putting all that into the Weapon Locker makes so much sense Thing is if you want to ignore it currently you can, if your a micro management type like me you can tweak with your entire crew. I see. And one of the things I love about TB games is options. 👍

I like the focus on the 'on patrol'. Really don't want the prospect of 'loading up' regular crew (tedious detail), just in case. My natural inclination (preferred game direction) is to encourage > 4 on patrol, and load them all for bear (that's a lot)... In imagining playing either path, simpler = more fun (to me).
In the long game, I'd rather aim for funding/nurturing a team in waiting, leveling up, getting more skills, replacing them as the 'starters' die, making decisions on when to recruit newbies to level up. Planning for 8, as it were. Second string players for an NFL team.... (GO Steelers!) :-)

Lol that was quick.Mac version, I don't know what model. I don't understand why you'd want me to put it as my signature. @starfixer , just click on the apple in the upper left corner, select 'About this Mac'. 1. From the Popup window (first tab: overview) it will list the OS, OS version, then your model of Mac. We need this model number to help (mine says iMac(27-inch, Late 2012)) 2. From the next tab (displays), it will give you the display size, then the resolution (mine says 2560x1440). We need this number as well. If you can post those 2 pieces of info here in this thread, it makes troubleshooting a whole lot easier. And Fallen was just suggesting adding those 2 pieces of info to your signature (or just provide them in your message every time you post a bug or troubleshooting request). Oh, Cory Trese was asking all the alpha-testers to add this to their signature, link here

Just a quick thought.
No matter how many times I land, go to the StarPort, and select Refuel, every time I think I have a full tank (due to the existing slider), then my eyes jump up to see the number/max fuel.
What if, above the slider there was another horizontal 'fuel gauge' with a visual representation of the amount of fuel left? It could be the same width (but maybe a little thicker), and the 'thin rectangle' shows more hollow space from the right (changes color?) the closer it is to zero. The text is helpful as well (ex. 27/145), but for some reason, my eyes fool me initially with the slider. Maybe it's just me?
