Here's my report: Version: 3.0.3 Platform: Android Samsung Galaxy Tab A, model SM-T350, Android 7.1.1, if that helps. ETA: firmware, firmware ... Samsung Experience version 8.5 Security patch level Aug 1, 2017 kernel 3.10.49-12378949 dpi@SWDG9711 #1 build number NMF26x.T350XXU1CQJS Knox version Knox 2.8, standard SDK 4.8.0, SE For Android 2.4.3 Entering storyline. Details in spoiler Jyeeta Brood Awakening in Quadrant Barbaric Spiral Land on Zenrin Prime and immediately enter dialog with Kober Volpane
After 23 panels of introductory, begin making dialog choices. Instead of going directly to "yes , we'll help" or "no, we can't get involved because we're cowardly", try choosing all the other choices first. First time, select options What news of your father? When did the Jyeeta reappear
As soon as I choose the second option, the game completely crashes all the way out. I'm looking at desktop (tablet-top?) again. So. Reload! Second time select options What news of your father? When did the Jyeeta reappear? I thought the Templars had completely wiped the Jyeeta out?
As soon as I select the third choice, again, I immediately crash to tablet-top. RELOAD! Go through sequence again. As soon as intro completes, select I thought the Templars had completely wiped the Jyeeta out?
Immediate crash to tablet top. Reload, appear in orbit above planet. Completely reboot tablet, restart it. Activate STF as first thing up. Attempt When did the Jyeeta reappear? I thought the Templars had completely wiped the Jyeeta out?
Again, immediate crash to desktop even after I had restarted the tablet. If it matters, I have completed story missions Explorer/Jyeeta artifacts Xenobiologist/transport
Oh, yes, there is one other problem. Is Commander Gai Cluvere supposed to offer missions? Because she isn't. Kober Volpane does but she doesn't.
Good luck at reproducing and fixing it!

fallen Here's my report: Version: 3.0.3 Platform: Android Samsung Galaxy Tab A, model SM-T350, Android 7.1.1, if that helps. ETA: firmware, firmware ... Samsung Experience version 8.5 Security patch level Aug 1, 2017 kernel 3.10.49-12378949 dpi@SWDG9711 #1 build number NMF26x.T350XXU1CQJS Knox version Knox 2.8, standard SDK 4.8.0, SE For Android 2.4.3 Sword Battlecruiser, 1 large slot hanger/launcher carrying a Faulker D5 interdictor. Wing leader + Wing Tech. Sell off a number of items to equip the MOTHER OF MERCY with 4 firewave torpedo launchers. Get into combat with a Steel Song Frontier Liner/Smuggler. Rather than follow my normal pattern, stay at range 5 throughout the battle. Launch craft with "Tip of the spear" interdict mission. Lob torpedoes continuously. The enemy craft attempts to escape and responds with Dual-linked torpedoes. The interdictor fails to shoot down a single one. It lands on about turn 4 or so. I relaunch. It continues to not use intercept any of the enemy torpedoes. But then, I don't think I'm hit by any either. I begin using every talent I can think of to buff craft accuracy. No torpedoes are intercepted. Eventually, the enemy hull collapses and the battle ends. Observations: 1) The battle continued for at least ten turns but I only had to relaunch once, so it looks to me as if the "three turn flight plan" of an interdiction mission is somewhat bugged, at least on my platform. 2) Not a single torpedo was shot down even once. Is this because the enemy never hit me ? Does the interdictor only intercept hits that would otherwise strike? Or is this a bug? I am going to resume my normal play and hope to encounter enemy craft. I will let you know of the interdictor's continued performance. By the way... @unit, I don't appreciate your tone. I'm very sorry the game is not satisfactory; I deal with these bugs too. But remember this: Trese Brothers is a two man shop who seem to spend all their working hours on this game making it the best they can. You're going to be abusive, and they're customer-savvy enough to sit there and take it with a smile. Because they're professionals. Well, I DON'T work from them and I DON'T have to take it from you. And this I have to say: Not cool, bro. Not cool at all. Respectfully, Brian P.

I do know that in previous reports the interdictor was not intercepting torpedoes or missiles, but that was before you and Cory fixed the "buffs never time out" issue. I'll try again this evening when I get back.

Captain Ohgi of the MOTHER'S MERCY is boarding a Zenrin spy ship. There is a solar war between Zenrin and Alta Mesa, and a spy war between Zenrin and Moklumnue.
Having defeated the ship , we attempt to use the Talent "Military Tribunal" to capture the ship. "There is no Moklumnue trial court in this system. The talent did not activate."
Okay, let's try Realm's Justice "There is no Moklumnue trial court in this system."
... The problem is that Captain Ohgi isn't acting on behalf of Clan Moklumnue, but on behalf of Clan Alta Mesa.
It is true that Captain Ohgi has a courtesy rank in both navies, a level 1 edict with Moklumnue, and a Level 6 with Alta Mesa. But she is unable to strike a blow in the Solar War on behalf of Alta Mesa, because the conflict with Moklumnue blocks the action.
Disgusted, she grants the enemy ship a Magnanimous Victory and continues on her way with her prisoner. There's a reason the ship is named what it is. Still, it might disappoint another captain.
Respectfully,
Brian P.

I had seen it happen in this month but it appears to be fixed now. There wasn't any requirement to reproduce. Just launch the craft and it would land on the wrong ship, at least cosmetically. I've discussed in the debuffs thread the steps I followed in combat.
We can probably close this defect, I think.

Okay, I took my saved game, stripped out a lot of equipment and put on torpedo launchers instead. Took out some pilot assist modules and replaced them with sensor 4 (electronics = stealth at range 5)? And went hunting. Found an explorer and got into a torpedo duel. Did not board once.
You are right , Cory. I saw the talents expire both on my ship and on theirs. So the problem I was having was that I was boarding, and every time I boarded the buffs/debuffs for that turn were extended.
Good call! And good luck at fixing it!
Respectfully,
Brian P.

In fairness, fallen, I saw similar behavior. Here's how it goes down:
Sword Battlecruiser MOTHER'S MERCY , carrying one Falker D5 interdictor.
1) Get into combat with an enemy. Flash jump to range 4. 2) Turn 1: Deploy Falker on Strafing Run (4-turn flight plan, inflicts accuracy penalty). Close to range 3 , firing railgun to inflict tag the beast or bombardment. 3) Turn 2: MERCY closes to range 2 , firing railgun/plasma and executes early boarding. Falker flies to enemy craft. 4) Turn 3: MERCY closes to range 1 , firing plasma/autoguns and again executes early boarding. Falker strafes enemy. 5) Turn 4: MERCY continues to board and deploys evasive maneuvers/vigilant sensors while firing autoguns to inflict debuffs such as venting hull. Falker lands -- and the image it uses to do so is to fly forward into the enemy craft and disappear! Text notations tells u "Falker D5 returns to hanger".
I didn't see any harm in it , because I have only one interdictor so it seemed a mere graphical error to me. I didn't want to waste your time with it, but it may be related to the person above's issue.
Respectfully,
Brian P.

I have discovered a bug in the current release. My current working theory is that this is what you are seeing. The bug is that in the turn where a boarding attack occurs, no ship effects turns are removed. So if you cast a buff for 3 turns and board, then you'll actually get a 4 turn buff. If you board again the next turn, it will stay a 4 turn buff. If this is the cause of your bug, then the work around is just stop boarding. If the ship effects turns go down when you're not boarding, then I am correct about this. Every. Single. Turn. I flash-jump into range. My battlecruiser can only make it to range 4 but this allows me to take full advantage of my pilot assist modules, which aren't useful at range 5 . Then board to inflict crippling dread as quickly as I can, then continue boarding , killing off their crew members and lowering their dice pools. That, I've found, is the single quickest way to deal with an enemy who outclasses you in ship-to-ship combat. I'm at work at the moment, so when I get home to my tablet I'll run it as a test. I'll find some pirate and pound him into space dust from distance 3. I'll let you know how it goes. * Cough * Given it's the corner stone of my strategy, I'll more likely wait patiently until you've resolved the issue. I'm glad you found the problem! The stunning irony is that back when I played ST:RPG I disliked the game because I felt I really had no choices save to be a boarding captain and didn't want to be; I wanted to fight with guns like a star wars X-wing. Yet, here I am playing Frontiers, a game which provides much more tactical flexibility, and here I am still boarding just as if it were the old game. Thank you for your effort! I'll check it out tonight and let you know the results. Respectfully, Brian P.

Fallen ... I've only got the one interceptor, and just the one pilot. It's the same saved game I'm discussing with Cory in the other thread, the one in which buffs and debuffs are not expiring. Perhaps it is the same issue?
The game is on a droid. How would I go about sending you the saved game?

Brian P.

Okay, Cory. I've loaded up another saved game from 327AE. It's a very old game and hasn't been through the consolidation period; I wrapped it up after the crimson pox era had concluded. it is not having this problem. I only started observing the issue in my current saved game just today -- which is also the first day I played with the new update. Coincidence, perhaps, but there it is.
Thanks for your time and attention in looking at this!

Brian P.

Just one very high turn saved game, haven't checked in any others yet. Haven't posted on Steam or Reddit. I'll try to check another game I have tomorrow.

No, Cory. Can't say I have. I just fought a second battle against a human pirate. It hit me with warning shots -- the debuff counter struck BOTH ships, his and mine. He suffered 25% damage per turn. The buff/debuff counters decremented from 4 to 3 to 2 ... and just stopped there.
This is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A, model SM-T350, Android 7.1.1, if that helps.

Do you need more info? That's all I can think of at the moment.
This didn't happen in earlier versions of the game; I think it started happening in the new version. Good luck at fixing it!
