ntsheepThe shop owner thanks you for the tip. En1gma Atlas Screams mandomaniac Carlos gets out of the car and call out in Spanish. The door to the house opens and a thin woman opens the door, a mag pistol in her hands. She and Carlos speak some rapidfire Spanish, before she calls into the house. Carlos brings you closer to the house. "This is my wife Elena. Armando will be out shortly. Welcome to my home and the Lujar forest. Can I get you something to drink?" wascalwywabbitCaptain Fadel walks up behind you. "Marconi, we need a path to the system's edge first. We can't drill out until we are further from any large objects." Your search finds nothing public.

En1gma mandomaniac Atlas ScreamsThe car rumbles along the road, then after about half a kilometer, Carlos turns onto a dirt road and drives towards a forest. Captain Fadel responds to your messages with a short message. Be careful. After another short while, he turns onto another local road, and then onto a gravel driveway. At the end is a house, a bit worn and with some peeling paint. ntsheepThe owner gives you a strange look. "Why would you want to eat one of those moles? There's plenty of beef and other meat for sale in the market friend."

En1gma Atlas Screams mandomaniacAfter a short wait Captain Fadel picks up his compad. You can hear the chitchat and clinking in the background that suggests a bar. When you finish explaining the situation, Tenkin waits a moment before responding. "Alright. Get a couple of the crew to go with you. Bring the family to the ship. We'll bring them to Aupra."

Atlas Screams En1gmaThe man brings the pair of you over to the alley. He speaks quickly and in a hushed voice. "My name is Carlos Santoro. I don't think it will be safe for mi familia here much longer. My son just turned 12, and the other day I found him moving marbles without touching them. Now, my papa was a crewman on a merchant vessel and he knew psychics. They aren't bad people, but people here don't think that." Carlos pauses, looking around again. "I want to get my wife and son offworld. I've heard from some of papa's old friends that Aupra has a psychic academy. I can pay for you to bring me there." ntsheepYou see a small store advertising digital book cards, each card loaded with a novel.

Atlas Screams En1gma"You're spacers? Good. Even better. Listen, I need to talk to you. I need help." The man looks around nervously, looking this way and that as if watching for someone. xdesperadoYou manage to find a live streaming of some sort of bout between two professional fighters. The two of them dance around the ring, dodging this way and that, striking when they perceive an opening. ntsheepThe little rodents are unfamiliar to you, being native to Laspera. You think that they may be safe to eat, considering that there are several local fauna and flora for sale in food stalls.

xdesperado As you link up to the planetary network with your dataslab, you key in one of your favorite searches. Almost immediately you find a well rated holovid about a cyberninja on the run from the law. Atlas Screams En1gma The two of you wander around the port, you look for tech shops. you wander around for a while, passing a few bars and nightclubs. Few people turn to look at you, as they are used to spacers walking around. After you finally find a tech shop and purchase the metatool, one person stops to talk to the two of you. "You two lost?" ntsheep As you walk around the port, you see some small rodents. They dig their way out of the ground before snuffling around for food.

Oh, first build. I'm going to have to go with either a Bounty Hunter/MO, or a Pirate. Maybe an Explorer/Merchant for when I'm not feeling bloodthirsty.

"Marconi, as much as I love our homeworld, the customs agents can be a bitch. I got the ores offloaded, and I'm working on the electronics. I've made contact with the electronics manufacturer and I'll work on a deal in the morning."

The port city of Laspera, named Illora City, is a bustling place, full of local merchants hawking goods, spacers blowing their pay on booze and girls, and the changing of money. Credits flowed here like water in a stream, and most of it flowed straight into the Interstellar Merchant Guild's coffers. The crew of the Midas Star would find that someone was always trying to get them to buy something. The only time that people wouldn't be calling at you trying to get you to buy this or that trinket, was when you ducked into a shop or a bar. This city drained spacers of their credits like a Cuozunian Jewel Mite drains a plant of sap.

xdesperado1. Who said that I haven't already? 2. So far all the factions deserving of Force/Wealth/Cunning ratings are tied to one or more planets. Others will be encountered as necessary. 3. I think that the first adventure is more to introduce you and your characters (and me!) to the universe at large. After this we can worry about personal goals.
