The Midas Star landed in its assigned berth with a thud, the landing struts absorbing the impact of landing. The ship was immediately swarmed by maintenance personnel who immediately started attaching refueling hoses and preparing to unload the cargo. Captain Fadel pinged the crew comm server.
"We have landed on Laspera. You are all hearby free for shore leave."

/OOC Are there weapon restrictions I need to know about? /ooc Like many worlds, only sidearms and light body armor is allowed in the city. fallen That is fine with me. I bookmarked the thread, so I get a notification every time someone posts.

"I'll be fine. Let the crew know that I have authorized a transfer of 300 credits to each of their accounts. Stay out of trouble. Oh, and tell the psychics that they are allowed off ship, as long as Krieger, Jardan or yourself are with them. And make sure no one needs to bailed out of prison."

Captain Fadel looks over at Krieger. "Lad, you can wander off if you want to. Just stay with thee crew and keep an eye on Mast and Marc-Antoine. Make sure they don't manifest any powers in public."
Turning to Marconi, the Captain smiles."I'll take her in myself. Only way to land on my home port."

After a moment, a pleasant female voice responds on the comm. "Midas Star, registration ISMG-0357, you are cleared for port. Follow the nav solution to berth X-16. Please remind the crew that all local laws are to be followed while planetside. Welcome home."
Captain Fadel looks over at Krieger. "Good work lad. You're free to go. Everyone else, prepare for landing."

The 6 hour journey from the system's edge pass without incident. The skill of the crew means that the Midas Star manages to make it to orbit of Laspera without detection. As Laspera has no dedicated space force, this is good.
"Alright boys, good work. Marconi, you have permission to contact landing control."

Skill check was a 7, then +1 from Astronautics. (What's the attribute modifier again, that's the number next to the skill, or something else?)
Tech skills are modified by Intelligence.

Captain Fadel starts typing in commands on his console, feeding sensor data on the surrounding background radiation to Krieger. "Navigator Eisenwahr, plot a course for Laspera. Kriegar, prepare to modulate engine emissions to mimic background radiation. There are sometimes pirates around here, and I want to be careful." En1gma roll a Tech/Astronautic check. I'll roll a Vehicle/Space check for Fadel. Reminder that skill checks are 2d6+Skill+Attribute modifier

With a nearly imperceptible rumble the Midas Star dropped out of metaspace and embraced the void again. The Midas Star's spike drive continued its work, propelling the ship through the void towards its destination. In about 6 hours the ship would arrive and be ready for landing, but Captain Fadel was not quite sure that the ship was free and clear just yet. He pinged everyone's compads, relaying the message throughout the ship.
"WE AREN'T IN THE CLEAR JUST YET. KRIEGER, REPORT TO BRIDGE FOR STEALTH TRAVEL"

wascalwywabbit"Aye. Make sure someone keeps an eye on them. And I want you to watch Marc-Antoine and Mast. Don't let them walk around without you. You know how our homeworld feels about psychics. I never bought into the hate, but they still need to be careful. Mast especially. If anyone finds out he's a telepath, they'll hang him from his ankles and gut him." Captain Fadel looks at his console, watching the numbers and letters scroll by, making adjustments when necessary and referring to another screen with the rutter pulled up every few minutes. He pulls up the crew comm server and pings the entire crew. The message is simple. Prepare for drilling into the Laspera system.

ntsheep mandomaniacCaptain Fadel calls after you, sounding a bit peeved. "Don't you damage any ship systems! This thing is expensive! Break anything and it comes out of your pay!" Fadel looks over at Jardan and sighs. "Make sure that he only shoots at things with a weapon that won't penetrate the bulkhead plating."

johndrameyCaptain Fadel returns your greeting with a nod and a mumbled "Morning". After considering Nikoli's question for a few moments, the older spacer clears his throat and replies with a gravelly voice. "We'll be in port for a day or two. Depends on how long it takes to get these ores through customs. Then I need to try and get that blasted tech-merchant to sell me those electronics. At the most, we'll be in port a week, Gunnery Chief. You'll all get yer share. 300 credits each." As you start running your diagnostics, both the Multifocal Laser and the Sandthrower return as green across the board.
