Hmmm how about we use the Independent worlds as fortresses? Station ships around them to draw in the Xenos and control where we fight if possible.
Up north is a priority but on both sides it'll work I think.

Yeah, welcome lordpax. It's good to see a new face in the Council, even if it's a Cadar. I kid, it's good to have you dude.

As things stand I believe ntsheep and I can handle representing Javat just fine. We'd welcome anyone who wants to join us but if not we're good. Between the mines, worrying about the Xenos and having an embargo on our torp loving colleges, things are exciting haha

I'd recommend not decommissioning any ships, we're likely gonna need everyone we got. If we do get forced into the xenos, I would rather we fought them in the shimmering belt. If we had the money I'd advise setting up a fortress world to engage them over but as things stand our colonies can make do. As for the economy, I'll back whatever my fellow Javat Councillor ntsheep thinks is best since I'm a bit stumped on how to proceed

En1gma I agree, we're gonna need more then the basic strike fighters when the Xenos show up and as much as I like my nining....all my pretty minerals won't count for much when aliens are eating our tasty colonists

Along with 10 and 11 suggested by ntsheep, I would request we take 5 if we get a chance to colonize a third. 10 and 11 are our priorities tho

I mean ... you make a choice where the turret goes. Make a better choice Haha I did about the same thing on the Ferrari lance, trying to get out with the doctor lady and I blocked the path with my turret and got stuck. XD

So far things seem alright, only thing I could ask for is more mines so when politics inevitably go crazy we'll still have a bit of a life line. Research wise as long as we get cruisers and factory rank 2s unlocked before we're ass deep in Xenos I'll be a happy miner.

As a hole digger I don't really care too much about research. I just want mines, a place to sleep, and some entertainment now and then. That being said, anything that would make setting up a new colony easier so more focus could go into mining I think is a wise idea. I agree, at this point I don't have much of a preference research wise so what ntsheep said seems best I think

Assuming ntsheep agrees, Javat would claim Mobius Loop. It being a red star would fit our mining expertise. As for scouting, as long as the defenders don't stray to far it's fine with me.

Honestly I use it for hallways and a back up for when napalm charge runs out of uses. Gives my hydra a little extra for long missions, may not be the smartest use but it's saved my teams butts before

Not likely, but we have been slowly working on adding landmines instead Alright, was just an idea I had while getting swarmed earlier, land minds are gonna be sweet. Like on the late game mission where you gotta hold the narvidians off the tac points, mines would be soooo good there

Yeah something like that, itd be temporary but being able to control the battle field would be a great.

Would it be possible to add an ability for engineers to set up barricades? Like say 2 or 3 tile wide wall? Give it hp or make it decay after 3 turns or something?
