Well, TA is the one TB game I don't have, and haven't been able to get into. I mostly play at work during my breaks, and with the short play time, I don't finish the missions before break is over (never have even gotten through the tutorial). With abort mission the only option in the menu, I lose all progress and have to start over. Not fun. So, unless I missed something in the game about how to save your progress, I'd like to see an autosave feature like the other TB games have.

The games saves your mission progress, just press continue and you will get a prompt to continue your mission.

You can just go to your home screen and let the app close on its own, or force close it.

Okay thanks, I'll try it. But I still think autosave from the back button or a save and exit option on the menu woulc work better.

Chance - the game is autosaving constantly.

Chance - the game is autosaving constantly. I guess I'm not following how the save works then. In CK, I hit the back button on my phone and it autosaves my progress and takes me back to the home screen. But inTA, if I have to leave the game in the middle of a mission, the back button doesn't do anything and the only menu option is abort mission, which causes me to lose all progress. I have to start over at the beginning of that mission, instead of where I was when I left. So then my question is, how do I exit the game without losing my progress?

Chance - can you report your Android OS and device you are using? Good question. Generally, "stop playing and do something else" works on our test devices, but I can see what you are saying about a missing menu item "Save and Exit"

Chance - if you hit the home key, and then return to the app later, are you able to resume the level successfully?

fallen-yeah that seems to work. It takes me to the home screen and the continue button allows me to go back where I was. Thanks for the help.

I've got some ideas too Sorry if these have been mentioned already, I didnt read all pages. 1. Templar should be able to strafe (move sideways). Just like moving backwards it could cost 2AP. 2. Bigger variety of armors. For example Soldier armor: cheapest you can buy provides 1 shielding compared to the standard and requires 75 prestige. Next one for soldier is Leviathan Powerarmor which requires 300 prestige and provide 5 plating, 2 shielding and no AP penalty. There should be an armor between those 2, for example: 3 plating, 2 shielding, -1 AP, 175 prestige required. 3. Huge battles/shootouts with FDF for example, where you can control up to 8 or even 12 units 4. Stances, f.e. kneeling which makes your knight less likely to be hit by ranged weapons. Could cost 1AP to change stance. While kneeling, moving is not possible or requires double AP.

baxterr - thanks for the suggestions! 1. Movement will not be restricted by direction in TA2, so moving to the side will cost the same as moving forward or back (free move, see Heroes of Steel). 2. Definitely increasing the size and variance in the weapon and armor catalogs. 3. You'll be able to control at max, 16 units in TA2. 4. Interesting idea with Stances. There will be some terrain that will provide bonuses like this, and certain types of buffs ("Stabilized Firing", for example) that will reduce your move to 0 while they are in effect.

Folding stances, buffs and tactical advice together into one system of expiring bonuses is a really nice, neat way to package up a lot of different game features under one consistent umbrella.

Yeah! Finally version 2 of the game that got me started with TB (and still my fave).
For me, if not too late to suggest, my #1 request would be variety in mission types.
Not just kill x Xeno, make it to extraction and survive x turns.
How about: NPC that you have to escort across a map (keeping them alive).
Rescues? Another NPC type level... you have to rescue a trapped scientist investigating the Xeno and escort him back to extraction zone keeping him alive.
Assassinations. You have to kill a specific enemy and escape.
