An endless last stand map with zenos that look like little tiny bears. I once heard about a game called Evil Bears, it sounded really fun. Perhaps the TB's could find those developers and work with them Then again just having TA2 would be, wait for it,,,,

I'd really like to see incentive for going back to play through different maps - whether some sort of 'challenge mode' with high scores or whatever would be appropriate I don't know. Maybe have individual objectives that can be accomplished and saved as permanently achieved, such as collecting a certain piece of data on your play through, clearing a level of all enemies etc, for bonus XP. I don't know. I just like to have repayable incentives! You know like how in certain Tower Defence games you play the mission, win, and unlock different difficulty options for that mission, or to play with certain constraints - only level one towers, or endless mode or something. Something like that for each map would be nice! I know in Defence Grid some levels have about ten different ways to play, each with their own leaderboards. I realise of course that TA2 will be far from a tower defence game, but that's the only example or replayability in a strategy game I can think of! Am I making any sense? Rushing at the moment!

How about a templar with the ability to attack sideways and backwards? It's so annoying in TA1 whenever a xeno is behind me and I have to spend 2 AI turning around, attack, and then spend another 2 AI turning around again.
Also, more xeno types. There were pretty much 2 or three types of enemies that made up a bulk of the missions, with narvadians and rebels each only appearing during one campaign and a special xeno boss only appearing one mission.
Lastly, more challenging. I want xenos to be on every square!

There were pretty much 2 or three types of enemies that made up a bulk of the missions, with narvadians and rebels each only appearing during one campaign and a special xeno boss only appearing one mission. Lastly, more challenging. I want xenos to be on every square! Speaking from a purely selfish "This is what I want from my point of view": The only issue with me is that, I love the strategy. I love the way facing is important, and if you don't think about it beforehand you can be screwed. I always under-move my team, stopping at junctions and leaving a couple of Templars covering the extra paths before moving on on the next turn. If we could attack backwards and sideways, this layer of strategy would be diminished. I definitely want the game to be hard. I want a real risk of my team dying, so taking the same group through a tough campaign becomes rewarding (a la the X-Com reboot). I think I'd rather have the individual enemy units be tougher than add to the challenge by swamping the player with enemies in a constant barrage, turning the game into a shooter. Make one enemy really tough, so that when you get pincered by two of them for the first time, you feel real threat and tension. By the time you're facing three or four, you need great positioning and a real tactical advantage to come out with only minor damage taken. This way, you also get fear and tension from simply exploring, desperately not wanting to surprise a large group of them. This can be further enhanced by clever use of context sensitive audio, as you get closer to enemies or points of interest, or your objective. Also, keep the claustrophobic maps. It's at it's best when your marching single file down a tunnel, hoping you don't get flanked. For larger areas, if they are incorporated, maybe add a cover system where you can move units into and out of covering objects, like Company of Heroes or Dawn of War 2.
