We're excited to announce a big push for UX on Star Traders 4X Empires. It will be the focus of the next series of releases. blog.tresebrothers.com/2015/08/star-traders-4x-empires-v241.htmlWe've got a huge list of inputs from the community already on our roadmap, but please toss in any additional items that you'd like to mention now This would be the time we will get to them!

Now that we have the build queue visible, it would be AMAZING if we could rearrange the queue order without going into the project screen. Still the most pressing issues for me are colony accessibility. Having a zoom-to-system button will make everything so much faster, and will help to give each system a name, instead of only an icon- empires with a ton of colonies become very difficult to remember. Also along these lines, I cannot stress enough the value of a back colony button to go alongside the next colony button. Past these, I'm happy

Playing a game and I just thought of some suggestions that hopefully will won't be to hard to implement. A flag to indicate dead worlds on the map such as a flag with a skull or maybe a radiation warning symbol. Also increase the amount of color indicating that an anomoly has been explored pls.

How about weapon damage given in the attack talent description similar to how HoS has it. It gets difficult to remember which ship has which weapon, and exactly how much damage that weapon actually puts out.

It's probably been asked before but....how about a random button on the faction selection screen?

Yep, the majority of these are already on our roadmap - but thanks for posting!

1) Despite having played ST4X for a while, I still discover screens that I did not know were there. Most recent example: in Faction List, clicking on each faction gives you lots of stats per faction (doh!). I would recommend something systematic, e.g. putting (...) each time clicking on something gives more info.
2) Have a side by side by side version of the detailed faction stats screen, for all 3 factions.
3) From colony detailed screen, have zoom-to-map which shows you where the colony is located.
4) Ships with move orders continue to move as close as possible to destination, instead of giving up as soon as another ship is (temporarily) at that destination
5) "save current build queue to template" and "insert current template to build queue"

6) in colony overview screen, don't just show number of items in build queue e.g. "build: 3" but also first item + turns estimated to complete, e.g. "build: 3 (Hab 2 in 7 turns)"

I would recommend something systematic, e.g. putting (...) each time clicking on something gives more info. If you check out the new Colony Details screen, you can see the white "pop out" icon we are now using. We'll be pushing that everywhere to make it clear where you can tap / click to go to a detail.

Perhaps the best thing you could do for new players would be to fix the inconsistent use of language describing politics across screens. For example, the Treaties button takes you to the Diplomatic Efforts screen. This was very confusing to me when first trying to figure out politics and other find it difficult too. I've detailed the inconsistencies and suggested one way to make the language consistent that would take too much effort in this thread: startradersrpg.proboards.com/thread/12065

Automatically add asteroids / anomoalies / systems to start charts without having to click / tap on them. This is especially a pain on small touch screens and woul help reduce tap/click count to play without compromising gameplay.
Production Waypoints. Set a way point for a system so that when it produces a ship the ship automatically begins traveling to that point.

It made Command and Conquer so much better when I figured out how to do this!!!
