So TBF provides so many awesome oppurtunites for screenshots and it's really easy to take them with steam. So I figured we need a thread. Titled. I've had enough of your shit Carl!

This thread needs some more love. Gotta love a game where you can cool down by lighting a huge fire. Behold! The Promethium Sea!

contributor - really awesome, love the shot! Always so happy with how the flame animation turned out in the game when I see shots like this

contributor - holy crap. ... how did that happen? Avoiding going on that floor for many, many turns?

Now I'm tempted to setup camp in Elevator Complex and wait until insane numbers of xeno have accumulated on that floor, then send in a strike team of hydras for mass extermination...

Ah, but every now and then every templar wishes for a xeno BBQ...

Dominating Stratos Central Airlock: Sorry, this was on my phone so I had to zoom out a lot, and the details are a bit hard to see. But the main point here is all 4 TPs have the flame cannon upgrade. This is about 2-3 turns before my squad gathered at the extraction point. An interesting point of note, besides the obvious promethium lakes, is that all 3 functional airlock doors are shut. Basically, my initial squad went west and took over the TP there, and then started heading south to hit the secondary objective. After they're almost directly south of the central TP, I had collected enough SP to deploy another templar, so I sent in another soldier from the central TP, shut the western airlock door, and had him join the rest of the squad as they moved counterclockwise, picking up all 3 secondary objectives and clearing everything in their path. Notice also the giant splotch of xeno blood on the west TP: this was actually not the responsibility of the current templars standing there; it was caused by a massive promethium lake that my hydra lit around that TP when I first captured it. It was recaptured by the xeno afterwards, at a great cost to them. The fire had extinguished since, but here, my oversized templar squad had just come back around from the north TP to recapture this one. Final result: 9 veterans, 42 turns, 146 kills, 3/3 secondary objectives. Death to the xenos!

Nice shot and nice story. There's something fun about pulling everyone out and dominating a level.
A good Promethium lake is pretty awesome. In my earlier screenshot with Promethium there was easily 5-10 xeno that would die in the flames every turn. Until we worked through the backlogged horde.
