 Access to potentially better combat recruits was my main appeal with the Steel Song faction, for example with a bit of luck you can get very good combat initiative trait stacking on them, most notably with the fleet foot trait. Check out what this speedy Steel song doc got going on: 
What this map offers:
A)In your starting 8 Steel Song planets system you get access to: - Rare trade good + planet to sell them.
- Indie Orbital+Indie Hightech Industrial.
- 4 0ther factions to ally/trade/spy on ect..
- Potentially better combat recruits due to starting faction.
B)Nearby (2 quadrants away) owned region with 9 Steel Song systems to tade in (including Tradeways) and a bunch of wild zones.

This map is quite fun as Thulun - start down in the bottom left, with a Irid supplying Thulun quad next door. On my current merchant playthrough I haven't been past the Zenrin quad in the middle. Seed is st-v01-35-2-98743529  |

Rare Trade goods within 1 jump
Start System - Pruvia Blooms Easy sell TL8 Jump left for farms as have none or sell lux Pop
Left Spice wax - Need orbital TL3 not found yet or Black Market 6K a pop
Right Royal Jelly - Easy Sell TL7 Lux Pop or Pop
Lots of low danger high return wilderness zones within 1 jump.
Scary Combat Crew from Javat & Steel Song, only took a dozen recruits to get stats close to this across my team.
Str27 Quk24 For27 Cha30 Wis30 Res19 HP148 Mor126 Int27 - Great if get a contact selling class that uses Cha Wis
Expect challenging map as Rychart controls choke points and normally negative rep through story, highwind case also is on them.
Have contacts from Rhycart already so let the power games begin.
Trying as Rhycart after as not done and starts same area.

To post images, type (img src="LinkGoesHere") but with brackets instead of parenthesis.
You'll need to upload the images somewhere to link to before being able to post them. The easiest way to do that is to take a screenshot through Steam (default key for Steam screenshot is F12), and you will be given the option to upload it on Steam after closing STF. After uploading it to Steam, view it in the Steam app and click on on the image again, or right click on it and click "view image" if it is on a web browser, and you should be on a page or window that only shows the image with nothing else. Copy the address of that image, and use it for the img src link.
Wow, that seems way more complicated in print then it does in my head.

St-v01-29-2-34268609 Thisss... Might be the coolest map I've rolled. There are TONS of Indies, TONS of wild zones, hugely rich quadrants everywhere. It's going to take some time to explore it all but this one is a gem.  |

   Starting zone for my above seed. Mokk and Javat are far and away the best, and everyone but Steel Song has something workable. Around almost every quad are Indy zones of all sorts to buy and sell. Wait a damn minute... How did you label those and use the same font? No, I really mean it. I am very curious. |
