Scattering
Map seed: st-v01-40-12-101960942 Map image:
This map has the maximum quadrant quantity with minimum density. Normally I play medium-sized maps, but wanted to try something different.
I won the Underworld Renown community challenge with this map on a Thulun start. The Thulun starting quadrant has Kafflange Royal Jelly rare trade goods. There is a Javat quadrant one jump away with Kloxian Medical Bays, and a Steel Song quadrant with Pruvia Blooms two jumps away. When playing as a smuggler or merchant on this map, I recommend starting as Thulun and having a rare trade good contact for the local contact, and a fourth contact to sell RTGs in one of the nearby quadrants.

st-v01-21-2-189970604 So I lucked into an incredibly new player friendly map. 6 out of 9 of the starting locations for playable races start in a system with a rare commodity, with three of them clustered around each other in the middle of the map. Spice wax is tucked away in a short little branch that is just far enough away to make making a profit off of it dumb easy. And if you want to play the trade race (Moklumnue) they start out with a great location in the middle of the map with Med bays in their home location and 2 other rare spices just 2 systems away each. I have not fully mapped out good sell locations because I do smuggling for profit but I have had little to no trouble offloading massive profits. Think 7 figures inside of 3000 turns if you are starting out, faster if you know what you are doing. So I know slightly more then I did when I posted this, and I was very off on how much money could be made. The only thing standing in your way of having a 1 mil in the bank before turn 1000 is which ship you pick. I want to know how unback thinks he can set the bar so friggin high because that annotated map looks amazing.

st-v01-17-2-45460891Got another one with some really good RNG. Good clustering of rare goods on the south end of the map, which is quite small. It is missing Travor Spice Wax but has all the rest of the rare goods. It is on the small side with only 17 systems. I've named it the Soft 17 because my other map was called Max 21. Apparently I have a blackjack themed series of map seeds.

Casablanca
st-v01-15-2-143297941 Have you heard the one about the scrappy young explorer with a hold full of artifacts? It usually ends with some uptight Steel Song officer confiscating everything, because she was too busy to find a fence before she went digging. Don't let this happen to you. Normally I don't go in for these long stringy maps, especially ones that look like a horse. But this is special. In Casablanca, everybody goes to Rick's in House Thulun's starting quad. It's the axis upon which this magical map spins. Here are some highlights:
Fallen Edge (Thulun Starting)
Law 1 Lux Pop Thulun Law 1 Mining Indie
Law 3 Tradeway Javat Law 3 Tradeway Thulun Law 3 Tradeway Cadar Great wild zones:
9/6/5 4/8/1 8/8/10 (okay, a bit ugly, but perfect when you go on your enders game style xeno genocide spree) Ellara Spiral (Steel Song, Rival, it's just a jump to the left)
Law 3 Tradeway Steel Song Law 3 Tradeway Steel Song
Law 2 Pop Steel Song Kullo Gambit (Alta Mesa, And a step to the right)
Sure, trade laws are a bit uptight, but it sure is nice to take advantage of the shipyard's fast turnaround. Still, waiting for your new hull can be a drag. Go dig up some artifacts. as you're Wild: 10/10/7 9/9/5 1/10/5
Preatorian Edge (Rychart, Put your hands on your hip (just the western hip, next to Ellara))
Law 1 Refinery Rychart Law 3 Tradeway Steel Song Wild: 6/10/6 10/9/3 What can I say, this map crosses genres, but is entirely awesome

st-v01-21-2-671837 This is a great map for trade resources. Iridlaentine and Spice Wax right next to each other in a cluster of other resources. ibb.co/7XhnFLz

Two ClustersMap seed: st-v02-32-4-179655628 Map image: Pros: This map has an interesting shape to it. Two big clusters of quadrants are connected only through links to the distant quadrant Hunter's Eddy. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a map shaped like this. Cons: Faction power relative to each other is not well balanced. Some starting quadrants have high danger. It would be cooler if there were a more even number of quadrants on both sides of Hunter's Eddy, rather than most being on the left.

resistor that is one of the coolest setups I've seen yet! Cirm's placement on the "bridge" is perfect. And there is clearly the old world where the Farfallen Rim is situation and then the new frontier of quadrants that were from a major splinter of the fleet discovered later.

Map with 70 Quadrants with Scattered Density: Pviv Map Pro's: The Farfallen Rim and the Alzean Core are centered in this map.- There is an Indie Orbital Station (Temple of Refuge at Gloomhorn) in the Farfallen Rim that buys Terrox Xeno Artifacts!
- Zenrin Prince for Brookstrom's Princes Mission is at Zenrin Starting Quadrant at Xaderis (Not Confirmed)
All Factions start in the center of the map near the Farfallen Rim Low Danger Starts: - Thulun: 4 Danger
- Zenrin: 4 Danger
- Cadar: 5 Danger
- Javat: 6 Danger
Close Faction Prime Worlds - Javat Prime at Thog's Rift (0) (Refinery) (Center Map)
- Zenrin Prime at Minervas Corridor (0) (Industrial) (Center Map)
- Moklumnue Prime at Minami Teien Quarter (2) (Mining) (Center-Left Map)
- De Valtos Prime at Wolfclaas Fissure (3) (Farming) (Center-Bottom Map)
- Alta Mesa Prime at Dixye Swathe (4) (High Tech Industrial) (Center Map)
Cirm Sector, although far from the center, is not in a long arm from the galaxy (top right of map) Best Pros: - Easy Map for selling Terrox Xeno Artifacts at the Farfallen Rim (Temple of Refuge at Gloomhorn)
- Farfallen Rim is close to all Faction Starting Quadrants, most distant is four jumps and closest is one jump
- Zenrin, Cadar, and Steel Song Contacts at Start can sell Rare Goods
- Map is best for Javat (2nd) and Zenrin (1st) Captains
Map Con's: Some Starting Quadrants' Danger are 10+: - Rychart: 16 Danger
- Moklumnue: 12 Danger
- Alta Mesa: 11 Danger
- Steel Song: 10 Danger
- De Valtos: 9 Danger
Very Distant Prime Worlds: - Cadar Prime at Attreus Run (13) (Farming) (Bottom-Right Map)
- Steel Song Prima at Nebulah Gyre (12) (Mining) (Bottom-Right Map)
- Rychart Prime at Cobra's Fissure (9) (Tradeway) (Upper-Right Map)
- Thulun Prime at Monkanian Nebula (8) (Industrial) (Upper-Right Map)
Cadonya is somewhat distant at Caylin's Pillars, in the north between the Cirm Sector and the Alzean Core Very Remote Location for Contacts to sell Travor Spice Wax (far bottom-right corner), Bexian Spice Tea (Cirm Sector), and Pruvia Blooms (mid bottom-right) Worst Con's: - Distant Prime Worlds for four Factions
- High Danger for five Factions
- Map Awful for Rychart Captains
