As some of you know, I've been very lazy this week. Spent 6 days playing video games instead of working. Mea culpa. Mea culpa. Yesterday night i got back into the groove of things. I had to completely alter the scene where Cerberus infiltrates the Orca Arcology. If some of you remember, it was mixed with flashes of Travis and Krunk's 'chat'. That format might have worked for a serial posting, but not for a book. Thus, I had to completely rearrange the posts into a cohesive set of chapters that made sense, edit them, fit them together, and fix all the inconsistencies that such a change brought up. rabid PS: Ehem, I hope that forgives me for the 6 days of blissful gaming.

Quick update. I am FINALLY on "Icarus". Keep in mind that I started editing from the very beginning less than 5 weeks ago, and that Cerberus is a project with more than 430 Pages (160k words and counting). I can feel the end of this effort. Another note. Cerberus is NOT a Cyberknight RPG story any more. It has been thoroughly altered. I am glad to say it is completely disassociated from said world, though I have kept it within the 'cyberpunk' genre with proper slang, terminologies, and feel. I am very happy about this, because I feel confident I am not stepping on anyone's intellectual property. Woot woot! rabid

Good to know!
Sad you're so concerned about intellectual property... I can see why, though.
What about republishing CK Cerberus and letting the TBs have a cut of the revenue? That way, everybody is happy. Perhaps ad it as merchandise?
Edit: Once it's done, tell me where I can buy it!! And... how much you'll going to want for the book?

Andrew is right. We've pretty much agreed on this point and, frankly, it works out best for everyone. I think Cory, Andrew and I aren't ready to join our individual perspectives for a combined world, but that doesn't mean we can't respect boundaries and support the other. rabid

So. CERBERUS has been completely edited and now I am talking with different agencies for the Professional Editing and proofreading. Hey fallen , is it alright if I continue to post here? As Cerberus isn't part of these worlds, not sure if I have the right to continue posting things about it in this forum any more. rabid

Rabid. I'm not sure if this has come up-but have you thought of converting the story to a more generic cyberpunkish setting?

Rabid. I'm not sure if this has come up-but have you thought of converting the story to a more generic cyberpunkish setting? I like what I've made of this story. A destroyed world like Judge Dredd. Machines like Deus Ex or the Mechanoids. A bit of Battlestar Galactica. Cybercombat like Shadowrun. A bit of Neuromancer. A bit of Cyberknights rpg. A bit of this... a touch of that. rabid PS: Hmm, someone keeps providing me with negative karma votes. Have I offended someone?

Guess what?
The Editors just told me, today, that CERBERUS is "too big". They want me to split it into 2 books. Considering there is a perfect spot right after the Nag Battle, it works just fine.
I guess I've just been made into a "multiple book" author overnight O.O
How do the titles look?
Book1: Cerberus: From Hatred Born
Book2: Cerberus: By Chains Thus Bound

Use both! And tell us where to get it, I can't wait to read it! Still miss the CK Version, though. Well, the editors are delaying this thing all the way to January 30. Using RedAdeptPublishing. I'm sure they'll tell me that I did tons of dumb mistakes. Heck, they already did and I had to fix the format of the story. I am hoping to publish the first book in March-April, with the following book in July-August. Currrently working on, believe it or not, a children's book for my Niece. She told me that I should write about her... then pouted at me and I couldn't say no. I really ... REALLY want to write a story about a virtual reality realm, like Sword Art Online. It just seems to have so many possibilities. Plus, its a guilty pleasure for me. Anyways, going to finish the short story for kids now. Who knows, maybe I'll sell a few "Dr. Seuzz" type books rabid
