It seems fairly clear all we tough, experienced, big-talking senior forum jockies blew off the challenge in the end. We should be mocked relentlessly, in my humble (guilty) opinion!
I intend to finish and post, but it's clear I'm not a winner.

While I am sure that much mocking from us TA rookies is forthcoming, I do hope everyone who started will finish. Perhaps a late penalty of 5 or 10 points will be appropriate, or another amount. That can be up for discussion. We should have plenty of time to think about it waiting for old folk veteran players finish.

Haha sorry, I've been really busy with work. I'll post up my results by the end of the day.

I don't think a penalty is needed, but they better return covered in xeno blood boasting 5 digit kill numbers or we won't be impressed much. Btw, I already think old folk in mobility scooters are dangerous, can you imagine the carnage if they had Leviathan suits?

I finally got mine written up - man, bringing a third squad through the challenge was a mission and a half. Captain Doofus failed because he came out of the starting blocks too early, and clearly didn't actually pay attention to the fact that every mission score counted in some way.
Captain Hardass failed because he stupidly recruited a beserker instead of a Neptune.
Major Problem, however, demonstrated the determination and grit that true Templars strive to deliver. He and his team of badasses managed to kill more Xeno's than I've ever seen done before. I have screenshots where the whole corridor looks purple!
All of the results of Major Problem's actions were screenshotted with the most outstanding result being a mission with 224 kills (Major got 108, Neptune got 102). Private Moment, the Neptune specialist was extremely pissed off that the Major got more kills than him! He didn't challenge the Major though because all of the Major's kills were with his fist!

Us oldtimers wait patiently for you youngsters to sprint into battle before moving out in an organized fashion with our Neptunes and Hydras being used with lethal precision. One of my squad clocked up 506 kills by himself. You little whippersnapper would have spent your ammo within the first hundred kills.

Sorry for the ... distraction Yeah - please refrain from doing a major release right in the middle of a cool challenge <grin> ... To be honest, I actually had to stop coming to the forum in order to knuckle down on this challenge, so I blocked out a bit of the AoP activity. Now I have to go and do catchup there. As usual, too many TB games, too little hours ...

I didn't have the opportunity to learn how to use a Neptune effectively. When I used one earlier, I couldn't get over how all my Templars froze when he shot. Not being able to turn towards a freshly spawned xeno seemed like to large a handicap.

Ahh ... I'm planning on writing up some tips for how to get the best out of the Neptune It's an amazing specialist but yeah, you have to support him to overcome the movement limitation.
