Just as a heads up, Age of Pirates Elite has been removed from Google Play. We are working on remedying this situation, and we apologize to all of our affected gamers.
Our apologies about this and look forward to re-instating the application as soon as possible. At this time we don't want to go into any more detail.
Thanks, Andrew

To be clear, and head off any questions you may have
- The application was removed by Google, not us - We have appealed the removal, but this will take weeks - Most appeals to Google are rejected - You should be able to continue playing the game (but Google may block that too) - Please be patient while we try to resolve this distressing situation

How would Google block us from playing something we already have DL'd to our phones, and is there any way to keep them from doing so? (log out of gplay, anything?) I'm sorry to hear about that, Andrew and Cory, and I hope you can come to a speedy solution...
Also will this be deleting our captains if it does get disabled on our phones??

En1gma - it is possible that the license checker will prevent you from playing the game, saying that you do not have permission and that you should visit Google Play. We've never had this happen before, so we are just trying to be pro-active about warning.

That's so sh!tty..... Thanks for the heads up. The entire thing is heartbreaking for us, years of work deleted by a script. Google's "don't be evil" mantra is long gone, not a shred of truth left in that hollow promise. We've stood by them through thick and thin, taking lawsuits, patent infringement and all manner of heat on their behalf. And now, we believe they've deleted Age of Pirates RPG Elite because it said too much about "Pirates"

So it's all gone? The entire game erased? I pray you had the sense of mind to back up the file?!? Fuk you Google.
AoP was the first game of yours I ever played...... I'll be so sad if we never get it back. If you end up having to do refunds on the game, keep mine- I don't want it. This is shocking........ I'm so sorry.....

We have the game, of course -- but we've lost our Reviews, 4.5 average rating, and the ability to update the game for Elite players. Google may let us re-publish the application, but under a different ID -- which means everyone who owned the game would have to repurchase, the game will be unranked in Google Play, etc.

This was the work of the devil. Or maybe someone who joined because he thought he'd get a golf cart and got a desk. Anyway, sorry all of you non-Amazon peeps. I hope your search engines are going to work now…

Fuk you Google. Just...... Fuk you. What is the point they're trying to make? They'll declare that they've ridden the Store of every game put on there by pirates. Especially the tiny indie ones. No offence, C & A.

Well... it's all too apparent what happened here: Steel Song got tired of getting blasted apart by superior Thulun pirate ships so they made a deal with Rychart to sabotage Thulun. However, the attack backfired when the envoy they sent was shot up by our good friend Slayernz. Rychart, in an effort to save face, deployed their super nano-virus machine across dimensions into the NBZ at Yakashima to attack pirating by turning all pirate ships into giant robotic chipmunks. However, Cerberus stopped the nanite swarm causing Rychart and Steel Song to go to Google for assistance. After countless Google entities died, Google traced the attack to a Pirate, but could not read the actual code properly (stupid intern) and they deleted AoP instead of turning Thulun into the Faction we could have known as Thermos.
In all seriousness, this sucks. If I have to repurchase everything I will. But in the meantime Steel Song, Rychart, and Yakashima must suffer.
