Ok at fallen's suggestion going to kick off a new thread where people can put in what they feel are the best combinations of Heroes/Talents/Gear. Suggest everyone list the Heroes, then their Talents, then types of weapons and gear in general terms. (Please use full names for Heroes and Talents to cut down on possible confusion.) Finally lay out the strategy behind the build and basic implementation. We've got a number of threads full of discussion on theory and the combat mechanics thread so this is just to showcase what we feel are our top group builds.

DEATHWALKERS Kincaid Kjartan Fyona Tamilin Kincaid Darting Steel * Crippling Strikes 6 Sure Parry 7 Cunning Footwork 10 Live By The Blade 7
Kjartan Choking Ash 10 Burning Blades 10 Firebolt * Firestorm * Pureflame Shield * Meteoric Shockwave *
Fyona Holy Strickening 10 Reckoning 9 Shield of Cortias * Blessed Aura * Righteous Fervor *
Tamilin Torrent of Steel 9 Silent Stalker 10 Blacknight 8 Deadly Intuition *
Kincaid will be using 1AP weapons exclusively to maximise numbers of attacks and his ability to position himself to best shield other party members. Looking for minimum of 10% SP Drain before weapons, prefer higher, then gear adding damage (any type, normal or magical) and/or critical %. Kjartan will use whatever Staff gives best combination of +magic damage and defense. Gear will likely be best magic damage/critical %, although if good HP/Armor/Parry/Dodge/Evasion gear is available then that may take president as he's your squishiest hero. Best option is to simply keep him away from any possible attacks as much as possible. Adding Constitution is also an aid to keeping him standing. Fyona is looking for 2AP weapon and best shield she can get. Want to try getting her to at least 10% SP Drain but any gear adding Armor/Parry/Dodge/Evasion is priority then plus damage (any type)/critical %. Tamilin will use 1AP Throwing Knives and 2AP Bows exclusively. Want 10% SP Drain minimum then any type of critical % or bonus damage gear. That in mind make sure to look for gear that help her keep Stealth around her level if skill and Blacknight aren't enough.
This group is focused first on reducing enemies Armor and Resistances then stripping AP and ability to deal damage. For Talents I've marked with a * they are either optional or I've not yet settled on a level for them. With high amounts of Armor and Resistance removed the party can quickly kill even tough enemies. Always start every round with Curses on any enemies in range who haven't yet been cursed. (Checking enemies stats is important, no need for Tamilin to make a Silent Stalker attack if enemy is already below 10 Armor for example.) Positioning is Important especially if there are ranged enemies present as they are the ones who will pose greatest threat. Generally I prefer to pull back and force enemies to come to the party when possible, however at times best option may be for a rapid advance. Keeping party in close proximity to each other helps make Fyona's Blessed Aura a very efficient Heal and allows for mutual support of all heroes. Minimum Armor and Resistance for most enemies combined with some solid AoE attacks means party just buzz saws through them.

Here we go again You realize I can't help myself, right?? The Iron Curtain: Defense heavy group, meant to be an immovable force that marches inexorably forward, never giving up a space to the enemy. Vraes: Main Battle Tank. Mace and Shield --Using Phalanx, Mid-Stone Skin, and Crushing Blow. --Buff heavy, low cost attack. Always with a shield, as it provides him with the best possible defense. I like maces. They smash things. KJ: Curse/Buff Support --Choking Ash, then either Pureflame Shield, Burning Blades, and finally Firestorm or Fireboltas main attack Fyona: Main Battle Tank. Mace and Shield --Shield of Cortias maxed, then Righteous Fervor or Consecrated Defense. Attacks go for Reckoning or Zeaous Strikes. Selen: Curse Support --Pinning Shot 5 and Dance of Shadows make up her base, then she augments with Punishing Blades and Quicksilver Defense so she can join in the fun The Iron Curtain is one of my oldest groups, but I never rebooted it after my phone corrupted, so it never saw the CoD. CdrPlatypus has made some great tweaks to this group, maybe he will weigh in... Electrickening: Massive Elemental Damage leads to an insane damage base. The ultimate Glass Cannon style build. Kincaid: Throwing Knives and 1AP Light Blades. Late Game Elemental Damage dealer. --Footwork 10, Darting Steel, Storm of Steel, and end game goes into Flanking Unity and Sure Parry Vincent: Energy Storm, Thundering Blades for His damage setup. Late game gets into Flash Freeze or Eye of the Storm for versitility. Can also put points into Lightning Spear, but it ends up dealing insane amounts of damage by itself... Fyona: STRICKENING!!! --STRICKENING 10 immediately, then Reckoning, then Shield of Cortias to max Selen: AoE Elemental damage MONSTER off-tank. Full Elemental Damage gear. --Pinning Shot 5 immediately, then Quicksilver Defensr, then moving into Dance of Shadows and Pinning Shot 8 for even larger swathes of Elemental mayhem. This group is able to absolutely slaughter entire clumps of enemies in a single turn. Between Strickening 10 and Energy Storm, even 1AP weapons deal well over 3 times their max weapon damage bands, and Selen at level 18 is smashing for 100 per dagger strike, and 140 on Pinning Shot5 for AoE. Kincaid is dealing decent damage, but the real output is Selen and Vincent. Fyona will destroy with Reckoning once she gets it (I accidentally took Shield of Cortias instead of Reckoning, but whatever. STRICKENING!!!)

xdesperado - great post! This thread could almost be retitled" best Curse and Buffs combos" Almost anything plays well to a Curse combo that crushes Armor, Resistance, and even worse stacks Fyona's Strickening. Those curses together lead to probably the lost possible ability to soak Damage. Silent Stalker + CA means nothing can keep worth armor points. Very nice stacking -- I am sure you roll over the enemy!

En1gma like your post just wondering if you could please be persuaded to actually spell out the Talent names? Afraid I get lost in all the abbreviations and can't imagine a newer player being able to make any sense of them.

I'm constantly posting about group theory, so taking the time to spell it out every time would take me waaaaay too much time on an every day basis. xdesperado brings up a good point, so I'll try and keep my abbreviations to the GBFaAT

I was wondering when the sheep would show up... Book of Sheep chapter 5 verse 3 "Ask and ye shall receive. If number 3 is around, even if you do not ask, you'll still receive."
